Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin has announced a new family addition. The professional dancer returned for his fifth year on the show last year and he made it to the final alongside actress Amber Davies.
On Instagram this week, he said: “Our dream finally came true and we’re proud parents of our little girl, Mabel.” The professional dancer posted a photo of an adorable dog. He added: “The cats think we are crazy, but soon we will be one big family together. Welcome to the family Mabel.” Nikita posed alongside his girlfriend, Lauren Jaine.
Fans of the TV star sent supportive messages after the family update. Fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Jowita Przystal commented “Oh stop it” and “The best thing you’ll ever do. Long haired chis are absolutely the sweetest babies and fiercely love their people. Enjoy her.”
Another comment said: “Chihuahuas make the best babies. We have a long haired chihuahua and can confirm, he is our absolute world.” Further responses were “oh my goodness! Look at the little baby.”

Last December, Nikita shared that he is hoping to marry his partner one day. Nikita told OK! magazine: “I’m hopeful that one day she’ll say yes.
“We recently watched a video of a wedding in South Africa and were quite moved by it. So, why not? It’s less about what we do and more about simply being together and respecting each other’s space.”
Speaking about his busy routine around Strictly, Nikita added: “I’m really lucky to have a supportive family and girlfriend. I always call my mum on my way home, and when I get back, I have Lauren waiting for me.”
Before Lauren, Nikita was in a long-term relationship with professional dancer Nicole Wirt who lives in Frankfurt, Germany. He career means he has moved to different places, he has had a hugely successful career.
His early dance career saw him crowned Italian champion in Latin and Ballroom six times. He was also a professional dancer on Let’s Dance and came second in Celebrity Big Brother 2024.
