Abbey Clancy says “it’s not on” after her son Jack’s behaviour left her “traumatised”. The 40-year-old shares daughters Sophia Ruby and Liberty Rose, and sons Johnny and Jack with former England striker Peter Crouch.

The couple met at a bar shortly after the footballer signed for Liverpool FC. Their relationship blossomed and they walked down the aisle in June 2011, two years after announcing their engagement.

The pair regularly share an insight into their family life on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch. In a recent episode, Abbey revealed the couple’s children are “well trained” on how to behave when at another family’s home.

However she was left stunned when son Jack, six, decided to use a towel instead of toilet paper when at one of her friend’s homes. Abbey explained: “I was mortified when baby Jack went to one of my friend’s houses.

“They’ve got a beautiful house and they have all the rolled up little towels under the sink, like a hotel, and baby Jack had gone to the loo for a number two and there was no toilet roll.

“He wiped his bum with one of those towels and put it down the loo. I was traumatised and I had to buy my friend new towels like, ‘I’m so sorry.’

“They had to get a plumber around to unblock the toilet and my son thought there was nothing wrong with it. He was like, ‘There was no toilet roll and my mate told me to use that, what’s wrong with that?’

“I was like, ‘Jack, when’ve you ever wiped your bum with a hand towel and put it down the loo babe? It’s not on’.”

Abbey says that her children usually behave well when at other people’s houses. Although she joked that “unfortunately” isn’t a trait when they’re in their own home.

She said: “I warn them, ‘If you’re going to their house, don’t make a mess, if you get anything out, put it away.’ My kids are trained well when they go to other people’s houses, but not my own unfortunately.

“I picked up like three crisp packets from Lib’s bedroom. But some people aren’t aware. I’m surrounded by people with OCD, like my mum, and friends whose houses are immaculate, you could lick their floor.”

While Abbey and Peter have been together for over two decades now, their relationship almost started off on the wrong foot. Recalling their initial encounter during a chat on Good Morning Britain, Abbey said: “When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, ‘How dare you?’”

Peter maintained that he was “just talking” to the other woman, but Abbey insisted on getting her number back. He retorted: “I said, ‘You can’t give someone your number and then take it back’.”
