Coronation Street star Jack P. Shepherd and his wife Hanni Treweek are expecting their first child together. The Corrie actor announced the news in an Instagram video today, February 14. Hanni posted a video of them walking in the grounds of a country house before Jack kissed her bump.
Hanni captioned the clip: “We’ve been keeping a secret… June 2026. Thank you so much to the dream team who made this so special for us.” Jack already has two children, Nyla Rae and Ruben with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey and son Greyson with his former partner Sammy Milewski.
Over a year ago, Jack proposed to Hanni while on a safari in Tanzania. The couple first met in 2017 on the set of the long-running soap when Hanni was working as a scriptwriter.
Hanni took to social media to announce Jack had popped the question, she said: “I said YES to forever” alongside a picture of the two and a glimpse of her new ring.
In July 2025, the TV star married Hanni in a classic ceremony that took place at Manchester Cathedral, surrounded by friends, family and co-stars. The actor first joined the ITV soap in April 2000 to take on the role of David Platt.
On the day of the wedding Jack arrived in style dressed in a cream tuxedo in a red Mustang with his son Reuben who was wearing a matching suit.
Co-stars Colson Smith and Ben Price appeared to be chosen as groomsmen for the big day, and co-stars Lucy Fallon and Tina O’Brien were also in attendance.
Ahead of the wedding, Jack took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the wedding planners. He wrote: “The A team, me and Hanni are so grateful. everything has come together and it’s looking like it’s gonna be amazing.”
Since then, he has continued to be a constant on our TV screens and has had his fair share of dramatic storylines. Supportive messages have been sent to the couple after the announcement.
Former Coronation Street star, Colson Smith, wrote: “Can’t wait to be Fairy Godmother” and Lisa Swain star, Vicky Myers, shared “What wonderful news! Congratulations.”
Cait Fitton commented: “Oh my goodness! Congratulations to the both of you” and Samia Longchambon added “Congratulations guys! So happy for you both.”
Other comments came from Helen Flanagan, who wrote “Congratulations darling” and Corrie legend Andy Whyment, who commented “Congratulations to you both fantastic news.”
