Corrie Favourite Beth Nixon Opens Up About Life Off-Screen — And Fans Love It

Beth Nixon portrays Megan Walsh on Coronation Street

Coronation Street’s Beth Nixon has shared a rare insight into her personal life and fans are “obsessed”. The soap newcomer is currently at the centre of dark grooming storyline following the arrival of the new Driscoll family last year. The actress first appeared on screen as Will Driscoll’s personal trainer in November.

The new owners of the Rovers Return have slotted seamlessly into life on the busy street with a chilling storyline between Megan and Will happening beneath the surface. Megan has been engaging in a secret sexual relationship with Will.

Megan also started a relationship with Daniel Osbourne, which made Will increasingly jealous. Megan claimed it was all part of her plan to cover up their secret relationship.

Beth captioned the carousel of photos: “Life is better when you’re covered in dog hairs 24/7.”

Catherine Tyledsley, who plays Eva Price on the soap, added heart eyes emojis. Olivia Frances-Brown, who burst into Weatherfield as Jodie last month, said: “Such a handsome boy”, speaking about her puppy of course.

Taking to the comments on Instagram, one fan described Beth as their “favourite actress on Coronation Street” while another said: “Keep up the good work on the cobbles Beth wonderful actress.”

Juggling her work commitments with her aspirations of becoming an actress, Beth was managing a skin clinic when she auditioned for Corrie, which ended up becoming her first TV role.

After learning she had secured the role of Megan on the soap, Beth was overwhelmed with emotion.

She told York College: “I was at work when my agent called me. I was upstairs as my colleague watched the desk and, when he told me I’d got it, everybody in the clinic could hear me screaming my head off and then I cried, because it’s been four years since I graduated and this is my first TV role.”

According to next week’s spoilers, Megan’s deceiving acts continue as Sam’s suspicions grow.

Sam makes his way into Megan’s flat and makes space on the shelf for a hidden camera. Will Sam finally get the evidence he needs?
