There are certain moments in life that quietly define us. Not because they are loud or dramatic, but because they change everything that follows. Becoming parents was one of those moments, and thirteen years ago, when Arthur arrived, our world gently shifted into something fuller, warmer, and infinitely more meaningful.
In the early days, life slowed down. Days were measured in small routines, soft sounds, and the simple joy of holding someone so new to the world. Arthur was a calm and content baby, already showing a quiet curiosity that would continue to grow with him. Those first months now live on through photographs, stories, and memories that feel both distant and incredibly close at the same time.
As childhood unfolded, so did Arthur’s personality. Each year revealed something new — a sense of humour, a thoughtful nature, and a kindness that naturally extends to others. Growing up is never a straight line, but Arthur has moved through every stage with openness and confidence, learning, adapting, and discovering who he is along the way.
Reaching thirteen feels like standing at a crossroads. Childhood is still present, but there is also a clear sense of independence beginning to emerge. This milestone gave us the opportunity to pause and reflect, not only on Arthur’s growth, but on the journey we have taken together as a family.
To mark the moment, we returned to East London — a place woven deeply into our story. Being back there, surrounded by familiar streets and dear friends, reminded us how much our surroundings and our people shape who we become. It felt like coming full circle, honouring where it all began while celebrating how far Arthur has come.
And, of course, there are the details that bring a smile — personal style choices, moments of confidence, and those phases that will forever be part of family history. Arthur’s leopard-print era remains one of those joyful reminders that growing up is about self-expression and embracing individuality.
Today, we celebrate Arthur at thirteen — a young person full of promise, character, and heart. We are endlessly grateful for every moment so far and excited for the many chapters still waiting to be written.
Happy 13th Birthday, Arthur. Thank you for bringing so much light into our lives. ❤️
