A Coronation Street star has shared a pregnancy update as she showed off her baby bump.
Paula Lane portrayed Kylie Platt on the beloved ITV soap before the character met a tragic end in 2016. The 39-year-old actress then made her return to the soap world in 2024, taking on the role of child killer Ella Forster in Emmerdale.
Unfortunately, Ella faced a similarly grim destiny when she was taken into custody for drugging Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) back in April. Nevertheless, it was subsequently revealed that she had been set up by antagonist John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).
In August, Paula turned to social media to reveal she was expecting her third child. The actress and her husband, Tom Shaw, are already mum and dad to ten-year-old Arthur and nine-year-old Penny, reports the Daily Star.

Sharing an ultrasound image, complete with “best big brother” and “best big sister” cards for her children, Paula had previously penned: “Some special news to share from us @sirtomshaw.”
“Christmas just got a bit more magical. Our baby boy due December 2025,” she continued, accompanied by a blue heart and rainbow emoji.
More than four months on, Paula has offered an exciting pregnancy update. The star turned to Instagram on Wednesday (December 17) to post several snaps, including one showcasing her flourishing bump.
“A little life lately. As we gear up for a big family change, I’m embracing these next few special days and feeling truly grateful to have been blessed with this pregnancy. It has flown by in a beautiful way,” her caption revealed.

Paula posted snaps of a recent audition tape, alongside a birthing pool and a festive outing to watch the Muppet Christmas Carol.
The caption went on: “A new set of wheels @myjoolz – the amazing @mumandme_app has helped me endlessly at this last stage knowing exactly what would benefit us as a busy household.”
She continued: “Birthing pool from @gentle_births has arrived. I’ve had two previous homebirths all born in the same room!”
Numerous former colleagues rushed to the comments to send their love, with Catherine Tyldesley gushing: “Gorgeous momma. You don’t half suit pregnancy.”

Laura Norton chimed in: “You’re all bump. Beautiful,” whilst Lisa George commented: “So beautiful.”
Meanwhile, Sophie Austin expressed her anticipation, writing: “Can’t wait to meet the little beauty.”
