The Strawbridge family share an update on the future of Escape to the Chateau.

An update about the highly-anticipated new series of Escape to the Chateau has been announced by the Strawbridge family. It was announced in October the Channel 4 series will be returning to our screens. Dick and Angel Strawbridge are known for appearing on the renovation show which aired in 2016, after the couple purchased a French castle in 2015.

The reality television series followed Dick, Angel and their family as they purchased and renovated the 19th-century chateau in France, at the time they were raising two young children and starting a business hosting weddings and other events. Over the years, viewers loved watching the family transform the property to their liking.

On Instagram at the time, a video of of the small castle was shared, with the caption: “We are delighted to announce that we are officially back in production for Escape to the Chateau, Series 10! It’s been wonderful welcoming back our Escape filming family — the unsung heroes behind the cameras. Since we first fell in love with the Chateau in 2014, it has taken us on the journey of a lifetime.”

A new update from the official Escape to the Chateau page, said: “Hello to you on this Super Saturday! It’s been all go here at the Chateau. The festivities are in full swing, the Chateau is looking very Christmassy, and excitement levels are continuing to grow!

“Outside the Chateau, there’s also been a hive of activity, and yesterday the incredibly talented and lovely Tracy-Ann Oberman added her much-loved voice to the new series of Escape to the Château.”

The statement continued: “For everyone eagerly awaiting an update: filming has wrapped, we’re now in the edit, and we promise that very soon we’ll be able to share more details about when the new series will be available in your country. It’s been over 11 years since the Chateau found us, and we still pinch ourselves every day as we turn the corner onto our drive.”

One supportive comment on the Instagram post said: “I’m so excited can’t wait. Merry Christmas everyone and the Strawbridge family.” Another added: “My daughter and I are very much looking forward to this. Hopefully we will be able to watch in Canada.”

Further replies included: “So excited for this! Happy Holidays to all of you! With love and respect” and “So, so, pleased you are sharing your beautiful life’s with us all again ..been following from the very beginning.”

Other responses were: “I can’t wait to hear Tracy’s voice again. Comfort viewing and listening” and “Cannot wait to see this. I’ve been watching every series in preparation.”

When the family announced they would be bringing the show back for another series, they said: “In 2022, we made the important decision to take a break from filming and concluded Series 9 with the most incredible and magical celebration we could have ever imagined.”

“Now, as a family, we’ve stepped into a new era. With Arthur and Dorothy happily settled into college, Series 10 brings more change and growth than the Chateau has ever seen! We promised that when the time was right for our family, we’d invite the cameras back in to give you an update — and maybe even a Christmas Special… and that time is now! Thank you for being part of our story — we can’t wait to share this next magical chapter with you.”

Dick and Angel and their two children, Arthur and Dorothy, have now lived at the property for over a decade and are still putting their stamp on the place. They often share snaps of their stunning gardens on their social media pages and insights into areas of the home that were rarely shown on TV.

The couple gave an exclusive interview with HELLO! in 2023, in which they revealed that their idyllic chateau is their ‘forever home’. The Channel 4 reality stars bought the magnificent property for £280,000.
