Adam Peaty has shared a relationship update weeks before his wedding to Holly Ramsay. The couple announced their engagement last year and they often share insights into their relationship together.
When Holly announced her engagement last September, she said: “Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you and I cannot wait to be your wife. Everything is better with you. Everything has been better since you. Here’s to forever.”
Adam also posted about the engagement, calling his fiancé a “gentle, caring and beautiful woman”. He said: “You have been with me when I’ve been at my lowest and helped me understand myself to navigate my own darkness. You have also celebrated the highs which have been so many, as for the first time in my life, I’m happy with the man I’ve become.”
The couple first met in 2021 when Adam appeared on Strictly Come Dancing along with Holly’s younger sister Tilly. However, they did not make their relationship official until June 2023. In the latest relationship update, Adam shared a picture of the two as they prepare for married life.
On Instagram, the Olympic swimmer said: “Less than two weeks until we’re getting married Holly. Where did the time go? Yes this is literally the only picture we have together in the last few weeks.” The pictured showed the athlete topless and Holly wearing eye strips.
It will be a much busier Christmas for the family this year as the wedding approaches. Last year, Adam spent time with the Ramsay family over the festive period. TV chef and dad of Holly, Gordon Ramsay, posed for a Christmas Eve snap wearing matching pyjamas with his family.
The triple Olympic swimming champion was sporting an all black pyjama attire with an outline of white Christmas trees, the outfit of choice for the whole family as they matched with each other.
Commenting on Adam’s latest post, many messages of congratulations have already been sent to the couple. One comment said: “I think you are both fab and so glad you have found each other, looking forward to seeing the pics.”
Another response was: “Wonderful couple! Your winter wedding will be magical”, further replies included “So excited for you two” and “can’t wait to see your wedding dress you are going to look amazing.”
The couple have showcased their love for each other with tattoos, with Adam having an “H” tattooed on his neck, while Holly has an “A” inked behind one of her ears.
Before his relationship with Holly, the swimmer was in a relationship with Eirianedd Munro. He previously confessed he went through “three years of hell” after suffering depression and alcoholism as well as splitting from Eirianedd, but later rediscovered swimming.
Adam told Men’s Health magazine: “I was within a hair of giving it all up. What was I going back for? Pride? It took a while to find the answer. But I wanted to teach [my son] George and any other children I have in future that you don’t give up when things get hard or the world feels like it’s against you.”
