Martin Kemp looked emotional as he returned to his hotel alongside wife Shirlie after becoming the sixth celebrity to be voted off I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! The 64-year-old Spandau Ballet star appeared relieved to be back in the lap of luxury after enduring life in the Australian jungle.
He was warmly welcomed by fellow evictees Vogue Williams, Kelly Brook and Eddie Kadi, along with friends and family of the remaining campmates. Still dressed in his jungle gear, Martin smiled as he arrived at the lavish Marriott in Surfers Paradise with Wham! star Shirlie by his side.
Martin had only left camp earlier on Thursday to take part in a trial, stunning fans and even his son Roman, but it wasn’t enough to save him from his eventual exit from the show.
If you’d like, I can also make this sound more dramatic, lighter, or more tabloid-style.

The challenge came after Vogue revealed that Martin had secretly been exempt when she answered fans’ questions online following her own exit.
Martin then teamed up with Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson, 39, for the task, aptly titled Lethal Libraries. While Martin was ultimately able to take part this week, much of the hard work fell to Tom, who was left rummaging through a bookshelf crawling with snakes as Martin answered questions.
Despite his departure from the show, Martin had admitted he was “desperate” to be reunited with his wife of 40 years.

After spending 20 days in the jungle, he joined long-time hosts Ant and Dec and said: “I have dreamt about this moment.
“It’s just been a weird trip. I loved sitting around and talking with the others. I said it a few times in there – I’m not one for making new friends, and this is the first time I’ve done it in years, and I absolutely loved it.
“Coming out now, I feel like I’ve done everything I wanted to do, experienced it all, and I can leave with some brilliant anecdotes.
“I wasn’t one of those guys who was dancing and singing and stuff – I just brought a calm energy.”
If you’d like, I can also tighten this for print, make it more dramatic, or tailor it for online publishing.

Martin’s son Roman previously appeared on the 2019 series of the ITV reality show, where he finished in third place behind winner Jacqueline Jossa, and Martin admitted he was still “glad” he hadn’t beaten his son’s placement.
Roman was quick to react to his father’s earlier-than-expected exit with a tongue-in-cheek post on X, writing: “Oh noooo.”
On a more heartfelt note, he later added: “Love him and love that some of you have seen a snapshot of the man I aspire to be! We’ve had some great laughs on here. Tom for the win #ImACelebrity.”
The One Show presenter, 32, had been vocal throughout about his father’s time in the jungle and earlier this week even complained about Martin’s lack of screen time. He jokingly referred to the eighties pop star as the “jungle ghost” due to his minimal airtime — a sentiment echoed by fans.

Celebrating a positive moment on the show, Roman posted: “The Ghost of the Jungle lives another day! Well done #TeamKemp! Now get voting to save him…”
