The post captured the festive chaos and joy: Arthur donned a hilarious turkey hat, Dorothy showed off a fabulous Christmas jumper, and the siblings’ beautiful singing filled the room with seasonal cheer. Even the family dog, Petal, got involved in the merriment!

It’s clear that Dick and Angel are making the holiday preparations a family affair. Between decking the halls and enjoying festive fun with the children, the Strawbridges are creating a warm, joyful Christmas atmosphere that’s equal parts stylish and heartwarming.
From quirky hats to beautiful decorations, the family’s festive traditions are in full swing and Charlotte’s snaps prove that Christmas has officially arrived at the Strawbridge household!
Create something beautiful this Christmas with our step-by-step crafts. Perfect for all ages and abilities.

Step 1.
Start with a child’s football or similar spherical object. Securely attach an upside-down paper cup to the top – we sprayed ours gold – using masking tape. Attach metal twine to the top – this will be the hook for you to hang the bauble.
Step 2.
Attach the fabric to the football using glue.
Step 3.
Make bauble “divider” sections or patterns with festive braiding strips (secure with glue).
Step 4.
Tie a ribbon or colourful string from the ball, hooking through the metal twine – and hang!

Step 1.
Cut two squares of wallpaper (or any paper you are using). The large square should be 10×10 inches and the small 6×6 inches.
Step 2.
Fold each square into an accordion. The folds don’t have to be evenly spaced. Then fold them in half. You can cut the edges into a curve for a nice soft detail.
Step 3.
Loop some twine under both ‘fan’ shapes and tie at the top. This is your hanger. Holding both fans together, folded downwards, wrap a new piece of twine around the top of the fans pinching them together. Tie to the string at the back with a double knot.
Step 4.
Add a wooden bead to the twine or ribbon and secure by tying a knot at the top.
You can then fan out your angel’s wings and dress and hang her somewhere to be admired.

Step 1.
Dip some polystyrene stars in glitter to add a bit of sparkle. Secure in place on the wall behind using Blue Tac. Add 2 rolls of wallpaper positioned at an angle and secure in place with the Blue Tac to create a ripple effect.
Step 2.
Wrap an old cardboard box in the same wallpaper and stuff with some raffia ribbon. Place an old teddy inside and secure with a glue gun to create the look of a present bursting open.
Step 3.
Add the Christmas Terrace to the mantelpiece. Place brush trees in various sizes and colours. Add some twinklies (Christmas lights).
Step 4.
Underneath the mantel, attach the Angel and Star decorations to Command Hooks using garden twine, sisal and/or ribbon.
