Coronation Street spoilers: Wednesday’s episode (3 December) is now available on ITVX and YouTube, ahead of its broadcast on ITV1.
Tonight, Todd Grimshaw faces a troubling new dilemma as the sinister Theo Silverton grows increasingly desperate to maintain his obsessive control over him. Just as it seems Todd might be able to reconcile with friends George Shuttleworth and Christina Boyd, Theo intervenes with his manipulative schemes.

In the upcoming scenes, Todd is forced to announce that he’s “back from London” — a lie dictated by Theo — after Dev Alahan tracks him down at the flat. To cover up a visible facial injury, Todd quickly claims it resulted from a drunken incident during his trip, concealing the darker truth of Theo’s abuse.
With Todd no longer under immediate scrutiny, Theo forces him to resume a grueling fitness regime, including a punishing 10k run. But Christina soon notices Todd struggling in pain and invites him in for a comforting cup of tea, assuring him that George won’t be there. Theo, watching from outside, grows increasingly anxious.
Once inside, Christina takes on the role of peacemaker, telling Todd how much George misses him. She even encourages him to consider returning to his job at the funeral parlour, suggesting it could help him regain some normalcy in his life.
As Todd continues to make excuses for his injury, Christina grows increasingly concerned — but has she truly realised that something is seriously wrong?
Later, back at the flat, Theo escalates his abusive behaviour, berating Todd for spending time with Christina against his wishes. Reacting to her kindness, Theo snaps: “I bet George put her up to it. He puts on this bumbling façade, but I see right through him — he’s actually pretty manipulative. You’re better off without people like that in your life.”

Todd reluctantly promises that he won’t spend any more time with Christina or George, following a similar pattern to cutting Billy Mayhew out of his life due to Theo’s paranoia.
Theo has also recently pushed Todd to end his long-standing friendship with Sarah Barlow, further isolating him from anyone who could offer support. With Theo’s control continuing to escalate, it’s clear that Todd’s ordeal is far from over — and could become even more harrowing.
