Vogue Williams admits a “meltdown” led her to undergo secret hypnotherapy ahead of I’m A Celebrity

Vogue Williams has opened up about the anxiety she faced before entering the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle, admitting that a full “meltdown” over her fear of cockroaches led her to secretly undergo hypnotherapy ahead of the show.

Speaking after her exit, the 40-year-old star confessed she was “petrified” of the insects and felt overwhelmed at the thought of taking on the infamous Bushtucker Trials.

In an effort to manage her panic, she turned to hypnosis in the weeks leading up to filming, hoping it would help her stay calm if faced with the creatures.

Vogue explained that the technique was meant to desensitise her to her biggest fear — but once thousands of cockroaches were poured onto her during a trial, she quickly realised the hypnosis “didn’t fully do the job.” Still, she said the extreme challenge pushed her more than she ever expected and helped her confront feelings she’d avoided for years.

Reflecting on her time in the jungle, Vogue described the experience as “intense but life-changing,” admitting that despite the fear, she loved the camaraderie, the unpredictability, and the sense of accomplishment each trial brought.
