đŸ”„ “EXCLUSIVE: Vogue Williams Reveals Secret Hypnosis After Shock Meltdown on I’m A Celebrity”

I’m A Celebrity star Vogue Williams opened up to the Mirror in a candid, wide-ranging interview, sharing untold jungle secrets — from undergoing hypnosis before entering the show to how much she missed her husband Spencer.

Vogue Williams has revealed she underwent secret hypnosis to overcome her fear of cockroaches, admitting the therapy may have given her a “slight edge” in the jungle. The campmate explained that a recent “meltdown” in Spain — triggered by spotting a cockroach in an ensuite bathroom — left her unable to sleep in the same room as husband Spencer for three nights.

Realising her phobia could become a major issue on I’m A Celebrity, she decided it was time to seek help. “I thought, this isn’t right — I need to do something so I’m not so terrified of them,” she said. “And honestly, I haven’t been as scared of them since.”

However, Vogue was cautious during the session, worried the hypnotherapist might guess she was preparing for the ITV show. “I was very careful and just said ‘insects’ instead
she usually works with people on things like anxiety,” she explained.

Vogue admitted the treatment was probably more useful for “seeing the odd cockroach on the ground” than for enduring “thousands of cockroaches poured on my head,” but she doesn’t regret trying it. “Did it work? I’m not sure. Am I glad I did it? Yes — because maybe it gave me a slight edge.”

Her efforts seemed to pay off, as she managed to beat the cockroaches and win sweets for camp during the Jungle Nursery trial.

Speaking after becoming the third celebrity voted out — following Alex Scott and Eddie Kadi — the 40-year-old also reflected on how much she missed her husband, Spencer. He was unable to travel to Australia because he had committed to an extraordinary challenge: completing seven full Ironman triathlons on seven continents in just 21 days.

Vogue admitted that not knowing how he was coping added to her stress in the camp. “It was constantly on my mind,” she said. “I didn’t know if he was struggling, or if he was getting through his challenge. It’s such a difficult thing.”

When she received his letter from home, she discovered he had reached the sixth stage in Rio — sparking hope he might finish early enough to fly out. “I was like, ‘Maybe he’ll make it, maybe he’ll have time.’ I thought he might have done Antarctica by then, but he still hasn’t, so he’s over there now.”

After eventually speaking to Spencer on the phone, he promised to travel to Australia to meet her, but the journey required four separate flights. Vogue immediately discouraged him. “I was like, ‘No, you’re not flying to four different places just to fly home with me.’ I’d much rather he went back to the kids, and I’ll see him when I get home.”

The separation — with both of them facing intense challenges on opposite sides of the world — ultimately reminded Vogue just how strong their relationship truly is. “We knew we’d miss each other, but I didn’t realise how much,” she reflects.

“I didn’t realise how much I rely on his support, or how much we love each other, or just how lucky we are. Everyone in there feels that way — you’re missing your whole world, so you suddenly see it so clearly. I can’t wait to cling to him like glue when we’re back together.”

Still, she jokes that life with Spencer will never be dull. “I’ll get home and he’ll immediately be like, ‘So, I’m thinking about my next challenge
’”

While Vogue was battling snakes and creepy crawlies, she says their children were watching every moment. She and Spencer share son Theodore, six, daughter Gigi, four, and three-year-old Otto — all of whom were invested in every jungle trial.

“I heard Gigi got really upset when she saw me with the snakes because she could see I was genuinely scared,” Vogue explains. “They’ll be desperate to see me, and I can’t wait to get home — although once I’m back, it’s no iPads or sweets, so they’ll be fuming.”

She admits the kids will have loved the more chaotic moments. “I mean, vomiting on TV isn’t exactly my proudest moment, but they’ll think it’s hilarious,” she laughs. “Before I left, I had a vomiting bug and they all tried to come into the bathroom just to watch me be sick — so they’ll be absolutely delighted by those trials.”

Vogue admits there were tougher moments in camp when she struggled with bouts of anxiety. “It’s something I manage all the time, and it becomes much harder when you’re completely out of your comfort zone,” she explains. “I tried to keep exercising in the jungle because it’s so important for my head.”

Despite her efforts, she says the anxiety “still cropped up quite a lot,” describing the emotional rollercoaster of camp life. “Your emotions are all over the place
within an hour you can feel five different things. It’s the strangest experience.”
