Taylor Swift Opens Up About One Issue During Celebrity-Filled Bachelorette Weekend

When you’re Taylor Swift and planning a wedding, even a bachelorette party can feel like a full-scale production. The “The Fate of Ophelia” singer got engaged to Travis Kelce in August, and while she’s currently busy promoting her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, fans have still gotten occasional glimpses into what her wedding celebrations might look like.

Recently, Taylor shared some insight into her bachelorette planning, revealing that coordinating a get-together isn’t always easy when your friend group is as star-studded as hers.

Speaking with Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton on Heart Breakfast, she explained, “Everyone’s scattered across the world, is the thing.” Among her famous friends are Blake Lively, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Brittany Mahomes, and the HAIM sisters—Este, Alana, and Danielle. “They’re so fun but so busy,” Taylor added.

“You might think I’d been dreaming about my wedding my whole life, but I actually never gave it much thought until I met the right person,” Taylor admitted. She added, “I hadn’t really considered things like a bachelorette party—this is the first time I’ve even thought about it.”

A Protective Circle

Taylor also praised her close-knit friend group during an appearance on BBC Radio 2’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Monday, October 6. She revealed how she keeps details of her personal life and upcoming projects under wraps, saying, “My friends don’t rat. They do not rat,” emphasizing their loyalty and discretion.

“They know what’s going on in my life, but they don’t snitch,” she continued, noting that many of her friends had listened to The Life of a Showgirl at least a year before its release. “It’s phenomenal. I’m lucky to have such a strong circle of friends—it takes time to build that,” she added.

All about Taylor’s ring

Travis worked with jewelry designer Kindred Lubeck and Artifex Fine Jewelry to create the Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond he used to propose. Celebrity jeweler George Khalife estimates the ring is between 10 and 20 carats, with a value ranging from $1 million to $5 million.

“This ring is a brilliant cut, and the style is called a bezel setting (that’s the gold that wraps around the diamond),” George told. “It’s super popular right now, just like yellow gold in general. Old Mine diamond[s] comes with a lot of history! The whole look feels really antique, which I think suits Taylor perfectly.”

Jeremy Kanzen, Co-Founder and CEO of The Diamond Store, described Taylor’s engagement ring as “a stunning mix of timeless romance and modern design. It features what appears to be an elongated cushion-cut diamond of 20 carats or more, set in a warm yellow gold rub-over setting, giving the stone a sleek, contemporary look while providing maximum protection.”
