A Place In The Sun star has been rushed to hospital with serious burns after an at-home accident. Craig Rowe is best known for hosting the much-loved show after joining back in 2022.
The star took to his Instagram page to share that he had been taken to hospital with serious burns. He told his followers that it was a “small accident” but he had been experiencing pain as a result.
Craig said he was shaken by the accident and was reminded how important it is to act fast when you get burnt. He then went on to thank the nurses who looked after him at St Thomas’ Hospital in Westminster.
Sharing a clip to social media, Craig said he sustained the burn after making a cup of mint tea. He said he picked the cup up and started to walk over the the sofa when he tripped and the boiling hot liquid fell onto his foot and ankle.
Captioning the video, Craig wrote: “A different kind of post from me today… At the weekend I spilled hot tea on myself and ended up with a burn on my ankle.
“It really shook me how much badly this small accident burnt my skin and it reminded me how quickly these things can happen and how important it is to get the right advice fast.”

“A huge thank you to the incredible nurses at St Thomas’ Hospital in Westminster who looked after me with so much care, reassurance and expertise. Truly grateful.”He then said that he is “gutted” to not be able to stick to his usual exercise routine, adding: “I’ll be honest… I’m finding it hard having to sit still with my foot elevated so much, and I’m gutted that I won’t be able to keep up my usual exercise routine for a while.
“But I know this part is important too giving my body the time and space it needs to heal properly.” Craig then added some advice of what people should do if they get burnt.
Craig explained that to treat a burn you should cool the area under running cold water for at least 20 minutes but make sure to avoid ice, cream or any type of home remedies.
Friends and fans of the star took to the comment section to share their well wishes. One said: “Oh Craig!!!!!!! Burns are so painful aren’t they? Bless your cotton socks!! …or no socks as the case may be!! Sending loads of love and hope it heals quickly xxxx.”
