Dick and Angel arrived together at the gates, carrying the final piece of their day’s mission — the new welcome sign for their beloved chateau. After everything they had built and restored, there was just one job left.
“What do you want me to do?” Angel asked, already full of energy.
“Hold those for a second,” Dick replied, guiding the pieces into place.

“Yeah, I could do that,” Angel said with her usual cheerful determination.
Dick stepped back, eyeing the entrance.
“We’re gonna do… we hang it up there like that, in the middle.”
Angel tilted her head.
“That’s okay. I would have put it higher.”
“These are the bits of wood we had,” Dick defended with a grin.
“I know… at this time,” Angel teased. “Come on, let me put it in.”
“Okay. All right. I need you to hold your side.”
They worked together, adjusting, nudging, and lining up the sign with the kind of teamwork only they could pull off.
“Right, we need to be below there… right in here. Yeah. Well done. Careful… Yeah, it’s in.”
Dick stepped back.
“Right, stand back and make sure it is in the middle.”
Angel folded her arms triumphantly.
“It’s fine. I knew it was. Oh, that’s— that’s— come on, that’s virtually in the middle. That’s good. Brilliant.”
With the sign finally in place, Dick announced proudly:
“We live here. It’s Château de la Motte Husson.”
Angel laughed.
“It’s so cheesy. But we are cheesy.”
Dick smiled, stepped forward, and wrapped her in a hug — the perfect ending to a perfectly “them” moment.
