The blaze erupted last year while Kelvin Fletcher and his wife, Liz, were taking their first holiday as a family of six.
On Sunday afternoon, a new episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm followed the former Emmerdale star and his family as they prepared for the Royal Cheshire Show.
During the event, Kelvin Fletcher, who recently shared news of some new arrivals on the farm, spent time tending to his cows ahead of the show.
In a voiceover, Kelvin told ITV viewers that keeping the farm running smoothly had recently come with its fair share of “challenges.”
He explained: “We’ve faced a lot of upheaval in our lives after a fire at the farmhouse forced us to move into temporary rented accommodation.
“Although I don’t want to add any extra stress, there’s one occasion in the farming calendar that I feel is still worth marking on our to-do list.”

Speaking with his son, Kelvin explained that they would be heading to the Royal Cheshire Show in a few weeks.
He told his little one that they would be bringing along their calves to the event, which delighted the toddler, who giggled at the thought of leading them around.
Elsewhere in the episode, Kelvin spoke about one of the most challenging aspects of farm life: staying on top of maintenance. He reassured ITV viewers, however, that every Thursday, a team of volunteers from the David Lewis Centre come to help.
As an ambassador for the charity, Kelvin added: “Beyond supporting fundraising events, they’ve become a huge part of our lives here on the farm as well.”

While trimming some of the hedges, the 41-year-old admitted that running a farm is a “huge” task, praising the support of the volunteers.
He explained: “These past few months have been really tough for us as a family. The fire made things very challenging at times, so having help with even small jobs like this has made a huge difference.”
The fire occurred last October while the family were enjoying their first holiday as a family of six. After receiving a call from a neighbour about the blaze, they discovered their home was uninhabitable, forcing them to move out temporarily.

During an appearance on This Morning, Kelvin commented: “t was heartbreaking. We got back, and we obviously weren’t there, so we weren’t harmed, and the animals were ok.
“For us, we took great positives in the fact that we weren’t hurt. It’s just a huge inconvenience; the restorations have started, so there’s light at the end of the tunnel.”
