Banned from Her Son’s Wedding: Caroline Peaty Heartbroken as Family Rift Erupts Ahead of Adam and Holly’s Lavish Christmas Ceremony

Holly Ramsay and Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty are at the center of a startling family dispute just weeks before their wedding, after reports emerged that Adam has reportedly banned his mother, Caroline Peaty, from attending the ceremony.

The decision follows Caroline, 59, being left out of Holly’s lavish hen party at Soho Farmhouse, a star-studded affair that included Tana Ramsay, Victoria Beckham, and the Ramsay sisters, yet notably excluded the mother who once drove her son to grueling 4 a.m. training sessions as he pursued Olympic glory.

A source close to Adam Peaty’s family revealed that the “heartbreaking” feud escalated after his aunt Louise publicly criticised Holly on Instagram, accusing her of being “divisive and hurtful” for leaving Caroline out of the celebration. Louise wrote that Holly had “inflicted a hurt on my sister that will take a very long time to heal, if ever.”

Shortly after the post, Adam reportedly contacted his mother to inform her that she would no longer be welcome at his wedding and would not see her grandson George—or any future grandchildren. Caroline later shared a cryptic message online, writing:

“Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can’t explain how broken your heart is.”

Friends have spoken out in support of Caroline Peaty, describing her as “devastated” and “confused” by the unfolding family drama. One friend added, “Considering they’re both meant to be mental health advocates, they don’t seem to be showing much regard for hers.”

The family feud is said to have begun when Adam, once seen as the “boy next door,” started distancing himself from his working-class roots after falling for Holly and joining the glamorous Ramsay circle. A family insider commented, “Adam has changed since being with Holly. It feels like he no longer sees his family as good enough.”

Despite the ongoing controversy, Holly, 25, and Adam, 30, are still planning to marry at Bath Abbey this Christmas. Insiders say that from Adam’s family, only his sister Bethany is expected to attend, as the rest of the relatives cannot cover the lavish event’s hotel costs.

Caroline, who once worked two jobs to support her son’s Olympic dreams, is reportedly “heartbroken” that her years of sacrifice have ended in estrangement. As one family member commented, “She gave everything for him, and now she’s been shut out of the most important day of his life.”
