Tom had been really looking forward to taking part in the challenges and came up with a unique solution.

Olympian Tom Daley has opened up about a behind-the-scenes clash with the bosses of Celebrity Traitors and criticized the cast for voting him off the show.
The Team GB star was “murdered” on the series earlier this month, an outcome he wasn’t happy with. Knowing he would likely be targeted due to his familiarity with the show, Tom shared his frustrations about his exit and the experience of being on set.
He admitted his annoyance at being eliminated, saying: “They got rid of people who probably would have figured it out. Around that first round table, you’re either waiting to be touched or trying not to be touched. It’s really intense.
“When I wasn’t a traitor, I was annoyed. You could just think, ‘Play the game and have fun,’ but as an athlete, I like to be in control.”

Diving star Tom Daley admitted he was frustrated at missing out on taking part in the show’s challenges. Speaking to The Guardian, he said: “As a viewer, you think, ‘I don’t really need to see all this.’ But as a participant, I wanted to be jumping out of helicopters.”
Tom also clashed with producers after suggesting a unique idea: bringing himself “back from the dead” to continue competing. “I think they should have considered a resurrection — bringing someone back after the first four murders,” he explained. The producers, however, rejected the idea.
Reflecting on his elimination, Tom said he was “sad and very confused” about why the Traitors targeted him. He suspected it was because he would have been banished at the Round Table anyway or perhaps because he was getting too close to the right answers.
Speaking on This Morning with Dermot and Alison, Tom described the moment he was “murdered” on the show. Alison asked if it happened in the morning, and Tom replied: “Yeah, you think you’re gonna go to breakfast, and they’re like, ‘No, you got killed.’”
He recounted being taken to a room with a piece of paper waiting for him and described the experience as “really intense,” saying he felt completely disconnected from everything. When asked about phones, Tom confirmed the cast had them but then revealed a surprising detail about the process.

Alison asked Tom if contestants were allowed to call their family and friends during the show.
Tom, looking tense, replied: “I think they might have made some exceptions for people with kids.”
