Bindi Irwin announced she’ll be skipping this week’s Dancing With the Stars episode to support her brother Robert Irwin from home.
In an Instagram post on Oct. 28, Bindi explained that she, her husband Chandler, and their daughter Grace have all come down with an illness, leaving her without a voice. “We’ll be cheering (quietly) from our living room for Robert and Witney,” she wrote, praising the pair’s hard work on their Halloween-themed dance.
Robert Irwin and his partner Witney Carson are performing an Argentine tango to “Sweet Dreams Are Made of This” by The Hampton String Quartet (originally by Eurythmics).
Bindi also urged fans to vote for her younger brother, reminding viewers that voting begins at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) and can be done by texting ROBERT to 21523 or visiting abc.com.

In the comments, Bindi’s followers showered her and her family with well-wishes as they recovered from their illness.
One Instagram user wrote, “Feel better, we’ll miss you guys! 💛💛.”
Fans quickly flooded Bindi Irwin’s Instagram comments with love and well wishes after she revealed her family was sick and unable to attend Dancing With the Stars this week.
One follower wrote, “Bless your hearts! I really hate to hear that you’re all sick… The ballroom isn’t quite as joyful without all of you there, but Robert is doing a fantastic job! Sending love and hugs to all of you and praying that you’re back on your feet soon!”
Others shared similar sentiments, with one fan saying, “So sorry. Get well soon guys! Robert has my votes, don’t worry,” and another adding, “I’m sending healing vibes. Love you all.”
Many encouraged the family to rest up and reminded viewers to keep voting for Robert, with one comment reading, “Oh no! Praying you all recover quickly. Rest well! And everyone remember to vote for Robert!”
New episodes of Dancing With the Stars air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.
