Viewers of Strictly Come Dancing have suggested that one star was underscored by the judges.
This week’s episode celebrated musical icons, featuring stars like Prince, the Spice Girls, Beyoncé, and Usher.
One performance that stood out to viewers was George Clarke’s jive to Harry Styles’ hit As It Was.
In the studio, the judges had differing opinions. Craig Revel Horwood commented, “It was a little bit flat-footed, which made it look stompy.” Meanwhile, Anton Du Beke disagreed, saying, “I thought the jive was great. Your biggest asset is how well you dance together.”

Strictly viewers feel George Clarke was “underscored”
Fans took to X to share their thoughts on George and Alexis’ performance. One wrote: “George and Alexis criminally underscored.” Another praised the routine, saying: “That was a good routine from George.” A third added: “George Clarke is magic on the dancefloor. Brings charm to @bbcstrictly week in week out.”
Not everyone agreed, however. One user commented: “Not a good Jive from George imo, lacks bounce…underwhelming!” Another wrote: “I fear that was George’s weakest dance… he seemed kinda lost the entire time.”
Why did Stefan Dennis quit Strictly Come Dancing?
Neighbours star Stefan Dennis had previously announced he would be leaving Strictly Come Dancing early. Paired with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, he was forced to pull out during movie week before returning for week four.
Sharing the news, Stefan Dennis said:
“This morning I woke up to the most disappointing day of my Strictly journey. Just as I was finally gaining confidence and achieving better dances, I was told that I had torn my calf so badly on Saturday that I now have to withdraw from the show.
I am devastated to leave so early, especially with all the love and support from everyone for both Dianne and me.
I owe a huge thank you to the Strictly Family and Dianne for giving me the chance to fulfil my dream of dancing with my wife (once my leg has healed).
Fun fact for all the Neighbours fans – it’s the same leg!”
