Dianne Buswell has posted a heartfelt message to Stefan Dennis after he had to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing due to a leg injury.
The Neighbours star was forced to leave the BBC show, and Dianne shared a video of them performing their Charleston together, captioning it: “The last dance.”

She wrote, “Stefo, I’m so sorry our Strictly journey ended just as your confidence was growing. But you can hold your head high. You can go home to your amazing wife and ask her, ‘Would you like to cha-cha-cha with me?’ The main reason for being on this show was to dance with her, and now you can do that. You’re the kindest person I’ve ever worked with, and I can always say I got to dance with the iconic Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis — or as my dad calls you, Paul Robinson.”
Dianne added, “I can’t wait for you to send me the video of you and Gail dancing together.”
Stefan also released a statement expressing how disappointed he was to leave the show. “This morning I woke up to the most disappointing day of my Strictly journey,” he said.
Stefan Dennis shared his disappointment after being forced to leave Strictly Come Dancing due to a severe calf injury.
“Just as I had finally gained the confidence to perform well and deliver more great dances, I was told on Saturday that I had torn my calf badly enough that I must withdraw from the show,” he said.
He added, “I can’t express how devastated I am to leave so early, especially with all the love and support Dianne and I have received. I am hugely grateful to both the Strictly team and Dianne for giving me the chance to fulfil my dream of dancing with my wife once my leg heals.”
As a fun note for Neighbours fans, he revealed it was the same leg that caused the injury.
Fans also expressed their sadness that Stefan and Dianne would not be appearing on screens this weekend.

One fan commented, “I’m heartbroken for you both. After Saturday, I was really looking forward to seeing more of Stefan. Don’t be too hard on yourselves, and I hope you recover quickly, Stefo!”
Another added, “So sad for you both Team Aussie will be greatly missed. It was such a joy to watch you! What a final dance, flawless to the end!! Sending love.”
