Next week’s Emmerdale will feature intense scenes with Kev Townsend, Robert Sugden, and Aaron Dingle.
Emmerdale has recently introduced Kev Townsend in a major storyline as Robert Sugden’s estranged husband.
Portrayed by Chris Coghill, Kev arrives in the village on Monday after being released from prison, where he and Robert had married while serving time together.
Now free, Kev hopes the couple can enjoy married life in the village.
For the moment, Kev who wants to keep his sexuality private is staying with Claudette and Charles Anderson through a prison outreach programme.
Meanwhile, Robert is feeling anxious about Kev’s return, particularly since he has only just started reconnecting with his ex-husband, Aaron Dingle.
Robert has been keeping his marriage to Kev a secret, telling Aaron who has been suspicious of Kev that he’s just an old cellmate.
But upcoming spoilers hint at a dramatic turn when Aaron catches Kev kissing Robert in public.
Next week, Aaron comes home and, urged by Chas Dingle, tries to apologize to Vinny Dingle and address his fight with Robert. While unpacking, Vinny ignores him and walks away. Meanwhile, on Main Street, Kev watches Aaron’s anger, knowing that Robert’s marriage to him has been exposed to the village. Tensions escalate at the café between Aaron and Robert as DS Carter arrives, looking to question Kev about an attack on an old friend.
Later at the Woolpack, Aaron’s apology to Vinny is accepted, but peace is short-lived when Robert and Kev arrive. The situation worsens when Aaron loses his composure after learning Robert has revealed details about his past with Gordon to Kev, leaving Chas to console her heartbroken son.
Back at Mill Flat, Aaron is confronted by Kev, who issues a chilling threat, warning him to stay away from both Kev and Robert.
The following day, Robert runs into Aaron and becomes concerned after learning about Kev’s threats. Later at the pub, Robert confronts Kev, and the argument quickly escalates, especially when Aaron joins them.
Aaron eventually confides in Mack Boyd about his fears regarding Kev, and Mack steps in to support him but questions remain about how Kev will respond.
