Coronation Street’s Eva Price actress hints at new Rovers storyline ahead of her return

Coronation Street fans are thrilled by the announcement that Eva Price is making a comeback to the cobbles.

It was revealed over the summer that Eva Price, played by Catherine Tyldesley, is making a major return to Coronation Street as the landlady of The Rovers Return.

Eva won’t be returning alone she’s joined by her partner Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) and his meddling mother Maggie (Pauline McLynn). In upcoming October episodes, the residents of Weatherfield will discover that Eva and Ben are the new owners of the pub, putting Eva back behind the bar for the first time since 2018.

Catherine, 42, shared her excitement about the return, saying the show has exceeded her expectations. She praised the writing team for capturing both drama and comedy in Eva’s storylines and expressed her anticipation for what’s to come.

Discussing her role as landlady during the festive season, Catherine revealed she loves Christmas in real life, and filming with Christmas decorations up in October has been a treat. She described Eva’s impact on the pub, noting that it’s been given a fun makeover full of pink, flowers, bows, and bold Christmas touches, reflecting Eva’s vibrant personality and fashion sense.

Catherine teased that Eva has really put her stamp on The Rovers, giving it a lively, girly refresh while keeping the pub fun and festive.

Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and ITV X.
