DWTS producers face criticism over alleged favoritism toward Whitney Leavitt following a pointed remark from Alix Earle

There are several theories that either Whitney or Alix are favored more than the other.

Dancing With The Stars producers are facing criticism for allegedly giving Whitney Leavitt special treatment.

Whitney, who gained fame on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and is partnered with Mark Ballas, son of Shirley Ballas, is set to perform during Wicked Week with the song Popular from the musical Wicked.

Fans have expressed frustration, claiming she’s being favored on the show. One viewer commented on TikTok, saying, “I’m sorry but Popular should be YOUR song, not Whitney’s.”

Another fan wrote, “Of course they give it to her,” while a third added, “You deserved Popular, but I’m okay with What Is This Feeling.”

Alix Earle also chimed in, agreeing with fans that she and Val should have been assigned Popular for their dance.

SHADY COMMENT

“I did request it but I think a lot of people did.. I’m actually so excited for ours though,” Alix said.

On Reddit, one user commented, “I don’t think she realizes how much fuel she added to the fire with that response her fans are going to go after Whitney even more now.”

Another added, “This will only reinforce the idea that Mark and Whitney are being favored by production.”

However, some fans suggested that Alix might be receiving other forms of favoritism, which could explain why she wasn’t given the song.

‘ALIX IS WAY MORE FAVORED’

A Reddit user wrote, “It’s clear Alix has been favored from the moment she joined the show. She was paired with a more popular pro, has closed the show twice in the first five weeks, and keeps getting great song choices. Plus, she’s doing contemporary and jazz back-to-back.”

Another added, “Alix is way more favored—she gets lots of prime spots compared to everyone else.”

A third commented, “She gets to do jazz, where anything goes, right after contemporary. It’s always been obvious that Alix and Robert receive the most favoritism.”

JUDGE SLAMMED BY PROS

This follows recent controversy in which Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba was criticized by two professional dancers for what they deemed “unfair” feedback.

The dispute began when Pasha Pashkov, who is partnered with Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel on season 34, publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with Carrie Ann’s critique of his performance.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy also criticized Carrie Ann, speaking out after she gave feedback to his brother Val, who dances with Alix Earle. During that critique, Carrie Ann made a remark about Val and Alix’s arms, sparking further backlash.

Carrie Ann advised Val and Alix to keep their arms straight while turning and warned them not to bend their arms during the move.

In response, Maksim took to social media to defend his brother, posting a pointed yet subtle critique aimed at Carrie Ann.
