Stacey Solomon Delighted by Surprise Gift from Beckhams After Sending David a ‘Cringe’ Beekeeping Voice Note

Stacey Solomon expressed her excitement after receiving a surprise package from the Beckhams on Monday.

The 36-year-old TV star had sent David a “cringe” voice note about beekeeping, inspired by his own beehive and her plans to produce her own homemade honey.

Although she initially thought he hadn’t seen her Instagram message, Stacey was delighted to discover that he had indeed listened to the voice note.

Sharing an update on her Instagram Story, Stacey exclaimed, “I’ve been sent a parcel from… the Beckhams. How sweet that he actually replied to an Instagram!”

She then read out the handwritten card from David, which said: “To Stacey and Joe, I hope you enjoy the honey and snacks. Lots of love, David Beckham.”

“I’ve got David Beckham’s autograph! What a time to be alive!” she added.

Stacey continued, “There’s two jars of honey, DB’s Sticky Stuff and Sticky Vicky. I bet they’re hilarious in real life we need to go on a night out with David and Victoria. They’re obviously funny. This is the best thing ever! Thanks, David, we love you.”

The TV star recently returned to the BBC with Stacey & Joe, a fly-on-the-wall docuseries capturing her chaotic home life at Pickle Cottage, the Essex home she shares with husband Joe Swash and their four children.

Stacey had turned to Beckham for advice after deciding to follow in his footsteps by keeping a beehive and producing her own homemade honey. Persuaded by her older sister Gemma, a hesitant Stacey sent the former Manchester United and England midfielder a voice note, hoping for some tips or even an invite to his Cotswolds garden.

Explaining her Instagram message, she said, “I’m getting a beehive, and I know you and Victoria have bees that are a big part of your life, so I just wondered if you had any top tips or advice.”

Visibly cringing, she added, “I’m already regretting sending this because I know you’ll probably never see or hear it, and if you do, you’ll probably think I’m a weirdo.”

Embarrassed, she told her sister, “I’m going to be blacklisted from all cool things now because I’ve just sent David Beckham the most loser-ish message.”

As expected, the former footballer didn’t respond to the message—much to the relief of Stacey’s husband, Joe.

“Damn right he didn’t reply, and he better not either,” Joe joked when asked if he had reached out. “Hands off, mate. I don’t need David Beckham as competition! The last thing I need. I’ve got dogs, ducks the last thing I need is David Beckham.”

In another venture, Beckham has expanded his empire with BEEUP, a honey-powered snack for children, now available in Target stores across the United States, adding to his estimated £372 million ($450m) net worth.

The idea has been in the works since Beckham discovered a passion for beekeeping and honey-making during lockdown something his wife Victoria affectionately calls “David’s Sticky Stuff.”

Announcing the launch on social media in June, he wrote, “I’m so excited that @beeupsnacks is finally here. This has been a real passion project for me, something I’ve been working on behind the scenes for a while.

“Since building my first hive in 2020, I’ve fallen in love with beekeeping and learned so much about the health benefits of honey. As a dad and former athlete, I wanted to create something kids can enjoy as part of an active lifestyle, so we created BEEUP… delicious, honey-based snacks.”
