Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash were back on TV Tuesday evening with a new episode of their BBC reality series, Stacey & Joe.
Now in its second season, the show gives fans an inside look at the couple’s hectic home life, balancing busy careers, raising six children, caring for numerous animals, and pursuing their personal projects.
Stacey and Joe didn’t hold back in showing viewers the realities of their hectic family life, and the latest episode highlighted a tense moment between Stacey and her eldest son, Zachary, 17.
Filmed inside Stacey’s car, the mum-of-five could be seen arguing with Zach over internet access and gaming. Zach complained that the WiFi had stopped working around 10 pm, prompting Stacey to explain that a new restriction had been introduced, cutting off the internet at a set time each evening.
Confused, Zach asked, “Really? Is that what it was? I was wondering what was going on.” Stacey compared keeping an eye on Zach and his younger brother Leighton’s late-night gaming to “having another newborn in the house”, noting that the restriction runs from Sunday to Thursday evenings.
Zach pushed back, saying, “Well guess what, you’ll have to keep it on because I’m not at school.” Stacey countered, explaining that his late-night gaming was affecting his sleep, and she was firm about the rule. As Zach continued to protest, she reminded him: “I am still in charge of you, and you are still living under my roof.”
Zach questioned whether the restriction was still necessary now that he and Leighton were in college, to which Stacey responded: “Because I still don’t think you should be on it until stupid o’clock in the morning.”
Frustrated, Zach shot back: “I am not on it until stupid o’clock in the morning, who do you think I am? I wouldn’t be able to wake up if I was.”
The argument intensified as they clashed over whether Zach’s gaming was affecting his sleep. The teen eventually slammed the car door and waved goodbye to his mum.
Stacey is mother to Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships, and shares son Rex and daughters Belle and Rose with husband Joe Swash.
