‘Scared’ Molly-Mae opens up about worries over romance with Tommy Fury

Molly-Mae is celebrating the upcoming release of the second part of her hit Amazon Prime documentary, but there’s still one thing about the future that keeps her awake at night.

Molly-Mae Hague has stirred fresh speculation about her relationship with Tommy Fury, admitting that although the couple may be back together, their future remains uncertain. In the trailer for the eagerly awaited second season of her Prime Video reality show, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, she gives fans a glimpse of the challenges ahead, saying: “Tommy and I are back together, yes. But I never know what tomorrow is going to bring.”

The new season will highlight her thriving business ventures while also exploring the ups and downs of her relationship with Tommy, which fell apart last year amid the boxer’s struggles with alcohol. Despite the couple reportedly reconciling in May, Molly-Mae, 26, is still affected by the difficulties of the past.

Molly-Mae Hague has admitted to feeling anxious about her relationship with Tommy Fury, worried that things could go wrong again. She fears Tommy might not consistently give her what she needs, and the uncertainty is challenging. She had hoped that getting back together would restore normalcy, but she acknowledges it isn’t always that simple.

Teasing the second season of her reality series, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, which premieres on 18 October, she wrote on Instagram: “I’m so excited for you all to see what’s been going on behind the scenes. Things have been crazy!”

The trailer also shows Molly-Mae in mum mode, caring for her and Tommy’s 21-month-old daughter, Bambi, while balancing her career as an influencer. She admits: “The balance, at the minute, of work and Bambi is just so full on. We’ve got the busiest summer yet coming up. I’m absolutely exhausted.”

Molly-Mae and Tommy first met on Love Island in 2019, where their romance quickly captured public attention. They have since become one of TV’s most high-profile couples, welcoming Bambi in January 2023 and getting engaged later that year in Ibiza.

However, their relationship has faced challenges, including a split in August 2024, which Tommy later revealed was partly due to his struggles with alcohol.

In a candid interview with Men’s Health earlier this year, Tommy Fury explained: “We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be any more.”

Addressing rumours of a third party, he firmly denied any infidelity, calling the speculation “completely false.”

Tommy revealed that his drinking escalated after a hand injury prevented him from boxing. In his BBC Three docu-series, Tommy: The Good, The Bad, The Fury, he said: “I couldn’t train, box, lift weights… that was all gone. I’d lost my whole identity, lost my life.”

He admitted to drinking heavily, sometimes downing 20 shots a night, and explained: “I used to drink to get blackout drunk and that is what led to me not being the right partner to Molly.”

Despite these challenges, Molly-Mae, who made her Paris Fashion Week catwalk debut earlier this month, has continued to grow her brand and is reportedly worth around £6 million.

The Prime Video trailer for Molly-Mae’s reality series highlights her work on her clothing line, Maebe, alongside modelling projects and public appearances. However, despite her many achievements, sources say she still feels the pressures of living life in the public eye.

“Molly is really proud of how far she’s come and is trying not to get sucked into the negatives,” the source explained. “This is a really exciting chapter and a big time for her. She is really proud of what she is achieving in her career. The people around her are making sure she remembers how amazing this all is.”

Prime Video describes the new season of Behind It All as “raw, relatable and inspiring,” promising to showcase “the insecurities and hopes of a young mum balancing fame and family.”

Last week, Molly-Mae offered fans a glimpse of what to expect in a Q&A on Instagram Stories: “You guys know I’ve always shared the highs and lows of my motherhood journey and it wasn’t going to be any different with this. I want everyone to see another layer in the doc and to share the things I normally struggle to share.”

Molly-Mae revealed that her daughter Bambi had “kept the film crew entertained” during filming, and when asked about her favourite episode, she teased that episode three is “intense.”

Filming stretched over several months, and Molly-Mae has promised to provide an honest, behind-the-scenes look at her home life, offering a glimpse of the “drama that I normally deal with in private.”

Despite admitting that her relationship with Tommy might not be “plain sailing,” she has previously hinted that she hopes to expand their family. “The dream is still the same… that we will all be happy in that house together and have more children,” she said at the end of the previous series. “That’s all I’ve ever wanted for us.”
