Australian wildlife advocate Robert Irwin has become a sensation on America’s Dancing With The Stars, and his growing popularity in the U.S. has sparked rumours that he’s landed a lucrative TV deal.
Reports suggest the Irwin family may soon star in their own reality show in the States, with insiders describing it as “pretty much a done deal.”
“Hollywood is going absolutely gaga for the Irwins right now,” a source said.
“Robert is getting so much attention on Dancing With The Stars, and it’s sparked huge interest in everything related to the family,” a source said.
His mother Terri, sister Bindi, and Bindi’s family, including husband Chandler and their daughter Grace, even moved to Los Angeles to support him.
The close-knit Irwin family has been in the DWTS audience each week, cheering Robert on as he impresses both the judges and viewers with his performances.

“The whole family, including Terri, is the dream package,” the sourced added.
“They are all so photogenic and the American audience is fascinated by them and their unorthodox life.”

Robert’s debut on Dancing With The Stars a high-energy jive performed in full safari gear earned him the top score of the night and quickly made him a frontrunner to win the competition.
“Robert is getting so much attention on DWTS, and it’s sparked a surge of interest in everything related to the family,” an insider said.
“Everyone is saying they’d be perfect for a reality show.”

One factor that could influence the deal is the financial situation at Australia Zoo, which sources say has been “under huge strain since the pandemic.”
“A show like this, and all the publicity it brings, could generate a lot of funding, and knowing Bindi’s passion for the zoo, that would be very appealing,” a source explained.
The Irwins are no strangers to life in front of the camera.
In 2018, Robert, Bindi, and Terri starred in Crikey! It’s the Irwins, a series that followed the family of the late conservationist Steve Irwin and their work at Australia Zoo.
Before the premiere of season four, then-18-year-old Robert said, “We’ve always been tight, but this year that sense of family has never been stronger.”

Bindi’s husband and daughter also appeared in the show, which aired on Animal Planet and ran for four years.
