Beau Ryan has shed more details after a mysterious celebrity exit from Amazing Race Australia last night, revealing why the duo disappeared.

Although they were the first team to reach the Pit Stop in Monday night’s premiere, Ant Middleton and his brother Dan were suddenly removed from The Amazing Race Australia in the second episode. Channel 10 provided few details, with host Beau Ryan explaining in a brief voiceover that the pair had been disqualified “due to a breach of the code of conduct.”
The abrupt exit left many fans puzzled, but reports from The Herald Sun in April suggested the team was removed following “a verbal altercation” with TikTok stars Luke and Scott O’Halloran. A Channel 10 spokesperson confirmed that an unnamed team had been disqualified and “swiftly sent home” after violating the production’s code of conduct during a day off.
Ant Middleton Responds
While both Ant and Dan have stayed quiet on social media, Ant Middleton has now addressed the incident and his feelings about being largely edited out of Channel 10’s promotional material.
“It’s a very strange situation,” he explained. “I wasn’t present when the issue with my brother occurred, and due to confidentiality, the production could only tell me that our team couldn’t continue because of something involving him.
“I respect their decision to keep our participation minimal in the edits to protect the show’s brand. It’s a weird situation, but completely out of my control and had nothing to do with me.”

Luke and Sassy Scott Speak Out
Luke and Sassy Scott have spoken about the alleged incident, claiming that Dan Middleton made “homophobic” gestures toward them. They told Confidential that they stayed at the hotel on the first night of filming in Nepal while other contestants explored the local town.
“When the other contestants returned, Dan Middleton approached us six times, making remarks and gestures that we found homophobic, offensive, intimidating, and disturbing,” they said.
“Each time he came over to us, the encounters felt increasingly more aggressive. At one point, he was right up in our faces, surrounded by some of the other cast members, who seemed to us to be as uncomfortable as we were. At this point, Brendan Fevola physically stepped in, putting himself between us and Dan and trying to de-escalate the situation. Brendan did this more than once.”
