The actor, who is famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, made his first foray into reality TV earlier this year.

Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd has commented on the idea of joining Strictly Come Dancing after his first reality TV experience earlier this year.
Famous for his role as David Platt, Jack was shocked when he won Celebrity Big Brother, beating competitors including drag artist Danny Beard, Chris Hughes, JoJo Siwa, Donna Preston, and Chesney Hawkes.
His start in the CBB house was rocky, with housemates nominating him for early evictions, calling him a “wind-up” and a “closed book.” Despite this being his reality TV debut in 25 years on Coronation Street, Jack said he has no plans to take part in shows like Dancing On Ice or Strictly, citing network restrictions for the latter.
He expressed gratitude for the support from Coronation Street fans and is content to continue entertaining viewers on the cobbles, even if it means missing out on sequins, samba, and spray tans.

Jack P Shepherd, originally from Pudsey, West Yorkshire, began his acting career on the drama Where the Heart Is and later appeared in theatre productions and the BBC drama Cutting It.
He once auditioned for the film Billy Elliot in 2000—the same year he debuted on Coronation Street—but didn’t get the role, which went to Jamie Bell, who later won a BAFTA.
On his Sofa Cinema Club podcast with fellow Corrie stars Colson Smith and Ben Price, Jack reflected on missing the opportunity, admitting he was only disappointed because of the film’s huge success and Academy Award nominations. He acknowledged, “Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think I’d have done anywhere near as good a performance as Jamie Bell did,” but added candidly when asked if he wished he had the chance, “Well, I did have the chance and I f***ed it up!”
Today, Jack is best known for playing David Platt on Coronation Street, a role that had been played by another actor during the character’s first decade on the soap.
Born on Christmas Day 1990, David was originally portrayed by Thomas Ormson in the ITV soap until 2000. The same year, Jack was recast in the role at 12 years old and he has since gone on to play a part in the soap’s biggest storylines.
