Coronation Street viewers believe they’ve worked out DC Kit Green’s next move after DI Costello made him an offer.
Fans have been wary of Kit, played by Jacob Roberts, ever since he was revealed as Bernie Winter’s long-lost son last year. However, some are starting to warm to him as he appears determined to uncover what Costello is hiding, along with the truth about colleague DS Lisa Swain.
Previously, Costello had pushed Lisa into therapy following the death of her colleague PC Craig Tinker, which triggered memories of losing her wife, Becky Swain, in the line of duty. Viewers first learned about Becky last year when Lisa confided in Carla Connor, balancing the pressures of the Lauren Bolton and Joel Deering case with raising her teenage daughter, Betsy.
Since then, Lisa and Carla’s relationship has blossomed, and they recently got engaged after moving into No.6 Coronation Street together. But last month, in a shock twist, Becky appeared in Weatherfield alive, leaving Lisa stunned on her daughter Betsy’s 18th birthday. Becky explained she had been in witness protection in Spain under a different identity due to an undercover operation gone wrong.
