Celebrity daughter gives her Coronation Street actor dad a full makeover in a TikTok video – can you guess who her famous father is?

An aspiring actress surprised fans by giving her famous dad a makeover in a new social media video.

Anna-Jo, who collaborates with Merwaves haircare, featured her father in a fun TikTok clip promoting the brand.

Introducing her dad to fans, Anna-Jo said: “This is my dad. He’s always had beautiful waves, but as he’s gotten older, they’ve lost some of their definition. So today, we’re giving him a little hair glow-up.”

Her dad turned out to be none other than 61-year-old Craig Charles, known for Red Dwarf, Robot Wars, Coronation Street, and his work on Radio 2.

Fans were stunned when they realized who he was.

ne wrote: “I was flabbergasted tbh.”

Another said: “At first I was like “wow her dad looks like Craig Charles” then I came to the comments and realised it was Craig Charles!”

A third posted: “Casually stating this is ya Dad when it is acting and DJ legend that is Craig Charles.”

Anna-Jo, who graduated from Kings College London in 2019, is an actress based in London who can also sing and dance.

In another video, she said her “biggest regret” was not using Merwaves sooner.

Though she’s yet to have her big acting break, her TikTok content shows she’s comfortable on-screen.

Craig Charles, her famous father, will return to the spotlight next year when I’m A Celebrity South Africa airs.

The dad-of-three previously withdrew from the show in 2014 after his brother Dean died from a heart attack.

A TV insider explained that Craig had been a fan favorite and could have won the show, but left due to the family tragedy something his campmates and the production team fully understood. ITV has now given him a second chance, a first in the show’s history for someone who had to leave under such circumstances.

Craig first rose to fame as Dave Lister in Red Dwarf and later played cabbie Lloyd Mullaney on Coronation Street from 2005 to 2015. He’s currently a DJ on BBC Radio 6 Music, with a stand-in presenter covering for him while he films in South Africa.

The upcoming All Stars series will bring several reunions.

Gemma Collins, who famously quit the show abruptly in 2014, will return for this special edition, set to air next year with Ant and Dec hosting.
