Vicky Pattison offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at Strictly, posting photos of her swollen and cut feet after a tough day of rehearsals. The 37-year-old reality star was the eleventh celebrity announced for this year’s lineup.
Vicky, who first became famous on MTV’s Geordie Shore, was announced as a Strictly contestant on This Morning. She joked on the show, “I’ve not got high hopes for my dancing, lads. I’m a drinker, not a dancer.” Now in rehearsals, she shared a photo of her swollen, cut foot after a tough day of training, captioning it: “And so it begins 😂.”
In another post, Vicky shared a snap of herself lounging on the sofa in pyjamas, fully spray-tanned and embracing the glamorous ballroom vibe.
The TV star, who recently hosted The Honesty Box on E4, had previously expressed excitement about taking on the challenge and stepping out of her comfort zone.
Vicky, whose best friend Pete Wicks competed on the show last year, described her first training session as a “baptism of fire.” On social media, she shared two photos: one looking glam with a full face of makeup before rehearsals, and another showing her exhausted after an intense day of training.
Writing alongside the snaps online, Vicky said: “Our first @bbcstrictly rehearsal… The start of the day versus… the end.
“It certainly was a baptism of fire lads… that’s for sure! If I was doubting my ability before.. then I REALLY am now!!!
“Dancing is SO HARD! No wonder those pros are all drop dead gorgeous.
“I feel like I’ve been hit by a car and I’ve already got blisters.. WTF???
“A serious new found appreciation for everyone who’s ever taken part!
“BUT… what an amazing day, the team are incredible, the celebs are so wonderful and the pros are an absolute joy..
