Robert Irwin’s Dancing With The Stars partner Witney Carson says she’s feeling the heat, and is unsubscribing from the drama despite her recent comments.
RRobert Irwin has been lighting up the dance floor on the US edition of Dancing With The Stars.
But his partner, 31-year-old Witney Carson, admitted it’s starting to feel a little overwhelming.
She revealed last week that, on top of their rehearsals, she’s also taken on the unofficial role of helping 21-year-old Robert look for love while he’s in the States.
It seems Witney may have taken on more than she bargained for, judging by her latest posts.
This week, she jumped on Instagram Stories to share that her inbox has been overflowing with women eager to be matched with Robert.
“Girls, I love you thank you for the applications that somehow made it to my email and for flooding my DMs,” she joked.
Witney kept the laughs coming as she joked about her unexpected side gig as Robert’s love-life gatekeeper.
“If I could line you all up with Robert, I would, because you’re all 10/10 perfect cuties. Robert for Bachelor?! I don’t know this is too stressful for me to handle lol,” she wrote.
She also posted a playful video showing herself and Robert walking dramatically into a room before taking seats in separate chairs. Witney then cheekily asked for Robert’s phone and began scrolling through his messages, leaving him looking less than impressed.
She captioned the clip: “Coming in hot to check Robert’s DMs.”
Robert shared the video too, writing: “Witney taking the wingman job very seriously…”
The post drew plenty of laughs, with the official Australia Zoo account dropping crying-laugh emojis, while Dannii Minogue chimed in with: “More of this, please.”
Robert’s sister Bindi, 27, couldn’t resist joining the fun, sweetly commenting: “I feel like I finally have the sister I always wanted (and needed)…”
One fan immediately latched onto Witney’s Bachelor joke, insisting: “Robert for Bachelor is the only acceptable outcome.”
Not everyone agreed, though with another follower arguing: “Nah, he’s better than that. He deserves real love like what his parents had.”
Robert has certainly been turning heads not just with his fiery tango that wowed the judges last week, but also during a post-show chat with E! News.
The 21-year-old revealed he’s very much single, adding a comment that crushed many hearts back home: “We are still looking for the American girl.” He admitted that both Witney and Bindi have been lending a hand in his search for love.
Witney joked that any hopefuls would need to go through a “screening process” first: “Submit your applications through my DMs and I’ll forward them to Bindi then we’ll see about the American tourist.”
When Robert teased that he now had two protective big sisters, Witney quipped back: “And you’ll be single forever,” leaving him wide-eyed with a shocked “woah.”
Robert then opened up about what he values most in a partner, explaining: “I think more than anything else, just genuine kindness. That’s so important, to surround yourself with people who are genuinely kind.”
In terms of past romances, Robert has only had one public relationship with Rorie Buckley. The pair, who reportedly began dating in November 2022, were last spotted together in January 2024 looking loved-up as they left Melbourne after the Australian Open. Sadly, they are believed to have split just a month later.
