Season 7 will be the Emmy-winning talk show’s first set of new episodes following the recent passing of Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is set to return to television later this month.
Production for the show’s seventh season will begin the week of September 8, with the season premiere scheduled for Monday, September 29, NBC announced.
The first week of new episodes will feature “surprise moments” honoring survivors of the recent Texas floods, according to a press release. Clarkson had originally planned to perform at Band Together Texas, a benefit concert organized by Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum, but withdrew following the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, on August 7.
The upcoming episodes of The Kelly Clarkson Show will feature a star-studded guest lineup, including Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt (The Smashing Machine), Reese Witherspoon and Marion Cotillard (The Morning Show), Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie (A Big Bold Beautiful Journey), Julia Roberts (After the Hunt), Scarlett Johansson (Eleanor the Great), Shonda Rhimes (The Residence), Channing Tatum (Roofman), Matthew McConaughey (The Lost Bus), Lionel Richie (American Idol), and Sylvester Stallone (Tulsa King).

Brandon Blackstock, who served as Clarkson’s manager and shared two children with her, passed away last month at age 48 due to malignant melanoma. He and Clarkson were married from 2013 to 2022.
“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,” a family representative said. “He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask that everyone respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

Clarkson debuted her talk show in 2019, and the series has since earned 22 Daytime Emmy Awards, including four for her hosting.
She is also returning as a judge for season 29 of The Voice, which is currently filming alongside season 28. Clarkson took a short hiatus from the show last month following Blackstock’s death, with Jennifer Hudson stepping in as her temporary replacement.
