She also reminisced about partying as a child with Michael Douglas’s son, Cameron, at New York City’s Limelight nightclub.

Michael Douglas recalled his unusual first encounter with Drew Barrymore.
The Fatal Attraction actor explained that he met her when she was only 11 years old and working as a server in New York City.
“I’m at a restaurant called Columbus, back in the early ’80s,” he said on The Drew Barrymore Show Wednesday. “It was a really popular spot on the Upper West Side. One night we were there, and this waitress comes over to serve me it was this 11-year-old young lady.”

Barrymore made quite the impression as a young server. “She said, ‘Hi, can I help you, please?’ I said, ‘Well, is it past your bedtime?’” Douglas joked. “And she was incredible.”
The 80-year-old actor also mentioned that his son, Cameron Douglas, had met Barrymore around the same time at the now-closed Chelsea nightclub, Limelight.
“Yes, I was all up in the clubs,” Barrymore replied. Turning to Cameron, who was also on the show, she added, “We got into a lot of trouble, you and I. And look at where we are now! I’m so proud of both of us.”
Barrymore shared that now she’s focused on putting down roots and prioritizing her family. “When I was young, I didn’t really have a family,” she said. “I was out running around, waitressing and clubbing, working having the best time ever, by the way. Best time. But as you get older, you start asking yourself, ‘What kind of life do I want to build and be part of?’”
Even as a child, Barrymore was no stranger to nightlife she went to clubs like Studio 54 with her mother and even celebrated her 10th birthday at a bar.
The Never Been Kissed star previously recalled partying at the Limelight with Billy Idol during an April episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.

“Billy, that’s where I picture us,” Barrymore told the singer. “When I think of you, my mind goes back to the old club days. What do you even remember from those times?”
“Not very much,” Idol admitted, to which Barrymore joked, “Me neither. I was hoping you could fill in the blanks for me.”
