Consuelos attempted to help his wife reclaim her mic, and smiled as she fished it out on “Live With Kelly & Mark.”
After a relatively calm stretch from morning TV’s famously playful couple, Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa shared a moment of lighthearted physical interaction on the latest episode of Live With Kelly & Mark.
During Tuesday’s opening host chat, the pair were discussing ABC/Disney’s recognition of longtime staff members for their years of service.
As a few audio glitches occurred, Consuelos reached toward his chest and glanced at Ripa. “Your mic fell,” he told her, to which Ripa responded, “Oh, my mic fell?”
As Ripa checked her chest, Consuelos playfully asked, “Can I find it?” with a grin aimed at the audience.
The studio erupted in laughter as he reached over and lightly touched his wife’s torso while she searched her blouse for the misplaced mic.
“Wait, hang on a second… let me just reach down deep into the cleavage,” Ripa joked before triumphantly retrieving the mic.
Flirtatious interactions like this are common for the couple on air, including a 2023 segment where they humorously exchanged foot massages during the show.
In November 2024, Ripa shared a nearly nude photo of Consuelos on her phone, an outtake from his revealing modeling shoot for Stuart Weitzman shoes.
The couple, who met while working on the soap opera All My Children, have been married for nearly 30 years, tying the knot in Las Vegas in 1996.
Consuelos recently revealed that they briefly broke up just one week before their wedding. “I broke up with her, because I was dumb, and it was the most agonizing week of my life. I just knew I never wanted to feel like that again. I’ve never felt like that in my life,” he told The Skinny Confidential podcast. Their reconciliation led to his proposal, and they were married just days later.
The couple, who share three children, returned to the Las Vegas chapel where they originally wed during a 2024 episode of Live With Kelly & Mark.
“Some of those feelings came back as I drove up. I started getting sweaty,” Consuelos admitted on the show. “We were 25-year-olds. Our son is 26. It doesn’t make any sense. In a city where people roll the dice every day, this is one of the safest bets I’ve made.”
