Strictly viewers expressed worry for Ellie Goldstein after noticing the star looking upset and being assisted by the professional dancers during the show.
The model, actress, and author is making history as the first contestant with Down’s syndrome to compete on the program.

Over the past ten years, Ellie has featured in campaigns for major brands including Nike, Vodafone, Primark, and Superdrug.
She gained international recognition in 2020 as the first model with Down’s syndrome to star in a Gucci campaign.
On last night’s Strictly live show, Ellie and her professional partner Vito performed a cha-cha to Ariana Grande’s Yes, And?
The 23-year-old shone on the dance floor in a sparkling light blue and silver dress, dancing alongside the energetic and cheerful Vito.

All four judges complimented Ellie and Vito on their first dance, with Anton calling Ellie “a joy.”
Craig Revel Horwood noted the routine was “flat-footed” but praised her “natural rhythm.”
Head judge Shirley Ballas presented Ellie with a fan labeled ‘fabulous’ after the performance.
The duo earned four points each from Craig, Motsi Mabuse, and Shirley, and five from Anton Du Beke, totaling an impressive 17 points.
Later in the show, while Claudia Winkleman spoke with La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec about their routine, viewers noticed Ellie being supported by professional dancers Dianne Buswell, Karen Hauer, and fellow contestant Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.
Fans took to X to express concern. One wrote, “Ellie looks a bit upset, so it’s lovely to see Harry and Karen comforting her #Strictly.”
Another commented, “Ellie seems a bit sad in the background, is she ok?”
“Oh Ellie, please someone take her backstage and give her a brew and a hug. She’s so close to tears it’s heart-breaking,” added another.

A fourth fan noted, “Aw Ellie looks like she’s going to burst into tears.”
“I’m worried about Ellie, she looks overwhelmed, bless her,” wrote another concerned fan.

However, Ellie later shared a joyful update on Instagram, posting, “I had the best time ever. I am so happy and grateful.”
She also shared a story showing herself with her fan, captioning it, “Finally, in bed. What an amazing day! Loving the fan Shirley Ballas.”
