Pixie Lott has been finding it difficult to balance work and family life due to severe morning sickness during the first trimester of her second pregnancy.
The 34-year-old singer and her husband, Oliver Cheshire, 37, who share two-year-old son Albert, are expecting their second child together after marrying in 2022.
Pixie Lott announced her pregnancy during a performance at the Mighty Hoopla Festival at Brockwell Park, London, in June.
Addressing the crowd on the Hayu Arena stage, she excitedly told fans, “I’m having another baby!” Thousands of attendees were packed near the stage to hear the big news.
Pixie later took to her Instagram to confirm the news as she posed outside her dressing room.
During the performance, Pixie sang a song with the lyrics: “I’m over caring what the weirdos think of me, leave it all behind, it’s a projection of their insecurities, I just cut the ties, I’m a mother, of another,” while revealing her baby bump.
As her due date approaches, she has now opened up about battling severe sickness throughout her first trimester.
Pixie Lott revealed that she experienced severe sickness during her first trimester, something she hadn’t encountered with her first pregnancy, which made juggling work particularly challenging.
She explained that by the second trimester she had regained her energy and was able to perform at festivals, which made the time pass quickly.
“Your body changes so much, so it’s been fun dressing my bump,” Pixie shared. “It’s amazing what the human body does to prepare for a life. I feel really lucky because I’ve been able to perform at the same time.”
During her first pregnancy, she kept her condition private until she was 31 weeks along. In June 2023, she posted to Instagram showcasing her large baby bump in a black bra and leggings, with Oliver tenderly kissing her bump.
Pixie Lott shared, “We are beyond excited to announce we are expecting our first child together and cannot wait to start a family of our own.”
She performed at the two-day event alongside artists including JADE, Ciara, Mutya Buena, Jamelia, and The Vengaboys.
Pixie and her husband Oliver first met in 2010 at a Select Model catwalk show and later married in June 2022. Their son, Albert, was born the following October.
