Nick Knowles’ Wife Rushed to Hospital After Cervix Rupture – Let’s Hope Everything Went Well

Nick Knowles’ wife, Katie Dadzie, was rushed to the hospital after her cervix ruptured.

The lingerie brand founder, who married the DIY SOS host earlier this year, was reportedly in “crippling pain” during the emergency.

Katie’s hospital visit comes after her hysterectomy over the summer.

The 34-year-old businesswoman chose the procedure to ease years of endometriosis pain, but 12 weeks into recovery, she faced a setback.

She revealed she was “gutted” that her cervix, previously stitched during surgery, had ruptured. Katie described it as “the most terrifying day I’ve ever had,” with pain so severe it nearly made her pass out.

Katie shared images from her hospital bed on Instagram, explaining the ordeal in detail.

She wrote that the section of her cervix that had been stitched during her hysterectomy ruptured, causing her insides to “go rogue” with severe abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, intense gas, heavy bleeding, fluid, and bowel issues.

Katie described the night it happened: “I was in so much pain I couldn’t move or walk and just cried on my own in the kitchen from 2–5:30 a.m. I nearly passed out from the pain.”

She added that aside from exhaustion and menopause symptoms, her recovery had been going well, though returning to work immediately after her hysterectomy hadn’t helped.

Katie was rushed into emergency surgery and was prepped for the operation in under 10 hours, after blood tests and a CT scan.

Katie revealed the frightening possibilities she faced, including a perforated bowel, open surgery, and another lumbar puncture, saying, “I had every situation running through my mind and it was terrifying.”

She explained that the surgical team had three plans, two of which were major procedures. A group of six surgeons and two anesthetists cared for her, helping her feel somewhat reassured during what she called “the most painful and terrifying day I’ve ever had.”

Katie shared a hopeful update, saying, “Thankfully the surgeons managed to get me back into theatre, fix everything, and stitch me back together.”

Wearing a grey jumper and propped up on hospital pillows, she added, “I’m very sore, bruised, and exhausted, and so gutted that my recovery journey starts all over again. But I’m thankful it’s fixed, because the pain on Saturday night was unbearable.”

HEALTH WOE

Katie previously described how she had been subject to “years of pain” from her women’s health issues.

The surgery means Katie will no longer be able to have more children.

Just weeks after marrying BBC star Nick Knowles, she was admitted for the complex hysterectomy procedure.

A hysterectomy involves removing the womb and is more common for women in their 40s and 50s, though it can be performed for various serious health reasons.

Katie, who has daughters Savannah, nine, and Alex, six, from a previous relationship, shared a behind-the-scenes montage on Instagram, giving fans a candid look at her experience.

Katie revealed she has endured years of pain due to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and adenomyosis.

In the video, she appeared in a hospital gown and compression socks as she prepared for her third surgical procedure.
