Ex-Police Officer Detained at Travis Kelce’s Home While Attempting to Serve Legal Papers

A former police officer was taken into custody at the home of Taylor Swift’s fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, while attempting to serve deposition papers.

The incident occurred earlier this month at Kelce’s residence in Leawood, Kansas, as the man tried to deliver legal documents on behalf of actor Justin Baldoni’s legal team.

The man attempting to serve the papers, former cop turned private investigator Justin Lee Fisher, was charged with “jumping the fence onto a private residence in a private neighborhood,” according to court documents.

Fisher was reportedly arrested at 2 a.m. on September 15.

The arrest at Travis Kelce’s home comes amid Taylor Swift’s entanglement in the ongoing legal dispute between her former friend Blake Lively and actor Justin Baldoni. Swift’s name was included in a countersuit earlier this year.

The incident occurred just two days after a judge denied a request to depose the 35-year-old singer.

The legal battle began in December 2024, when Lively sued Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and a smear campaign following their co-starring roles in It Ends with Us.

In response, Baldoni filed a defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, in which Swift was mentioned. Although some claims were initially dismissed, they were allowed to be refiled. A judge ultimately dismissed Baldoni’s defamation claims in June.

The Leawood Police Department redacted parts of the original report on the Kelce home arrest, citing that “this information is restricted as to its use and dissemination.”

Despite this, additional court documents verified the specifics of the allegations against Justin Lee Fisher.

The former officer said he would be willing to discuss the matter once it is resolved, adding, “I wasn’t hurt or anything besides being arrested for doing my job and possibly losing my [private eye] license.”

He is scheduled to appear in Leawood Municipal Court on October 15.

Fisher served with the Fort Scott, Kansas Police Department from 2013 to 2021 before working part-time in law enforcement until 2023. That same year, his license was revoked for five years following a domestic incident with his wife, according to the Kansas Commission on Peace Officer’s Standards and Training.
