She’s ARRIVED! Sabrina Carpenter showed up on the 2025 Video Music Awards red carpet looking iconic per usual. The Man’s Best Friend singer stepped out in a totally sheer beaded red gown by Valentino (obsessed with the turtleneck) paired with a fuzzy purple boa. Her hair? Signature loose waves, obviously. TBD on who made Sabrina’s gown, but we’ll update you once we have details because it’s a masterpiece. Also, it goes without saying that I need the boa in my life.

Sabrina took to the stage on the night for a showstopping performance of her song ‘Tears’, which referenced her music video which features actor Colman Domingo dancing alongside her in drag. While Domingo didn’t make a cameo at the VMAs, Carpenter re-created the set set filled with drag queens.
On top of performing on the main stage, Sabrina was nominated for a total of eight Video Music Awards at tonight’s show. The full list? Best Pop Artist (alongside Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Justin Bieber, Lorde, Miley Cyrus and Tate McRae) as well as Best Pop, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Direction for her hit ‘Manchild,’ Best Album for her album Short n’ Sweet, AND Song of the Summer.

She walked away with Best Pop Artist, Best Album, and Best Visual Effects for ‘Manchild’ from her new album Man’s Best Friend. Sabrina recently opened up about the album’s themes, telling NPR: “How can I be so self-aware and yet so blind and so stupid at the same time? Women are the smartest and the dumbest, in my experience. It’s like they are dumb exactly when they want to be. I think that that’s kind of a theme that I tackle throughout the whole album, just because it’s a little bit more about the reflection of my own choices and these relationships and how I get into them and how I get out of them.”
