Kerry Katona and Katie Price witness backstage drama as ‘drunken’ fans are ejected from the show

Last night at New Brighton Floral Pavilion, the crowd cheered as some audience members were kicked out during Katie Price and Kerry Katona’s show. The reality stars were in Merseyside for the second night of their UK tour.

Katie Price and Kerry Katona took part in a candid on-stage interview with Matt Foister in Wirral, discussing everything from motherhood and love to their time on I’m A Celebrity. The topics were chosen by a random wheel, keeping the chat lively.

During the show, minor disruptions occurred in the first half, with security speaking to someone in the audience. The first half ended with a game called “Only Superfans,” where two audience members were invited on stage to test their knowledge about Katie and Kerry.

Host Matt informed the audience that the interval would last about 15 minutes before the show resumed. However, the second half was delayed when security had to address some front-row attendees.

Two members of the group were spoken to by security, causing about a 15-minute pause. As those individuals were escorted out, the rest of the crowd cheered, allowing the show to continue.

Katie Price then returned to perform We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off and apologized for the delay, saying, “Sorry about the drama. It had nothing to do with us.”

Katie and Kerry laughed off the disruption with host Matt, with Kerry joking, “We’re changed women.” They said they weren’t fully aware of what happened but watched the drama unfold on a backstage TV. Kerry called out those responsible for “ruining the show for everybody else” and checked if the other front-row audience members were okay.

The crowd cheered as the second half resumed, featuring more stories and ending with a singalong to Atomic Kitten’s hit Whole Again. After the show, two police cars were seen outside the theatre, and Merseyside Police confirmed they had been called to handle the situation involving the ejected audience members.

A statement shared with the ECHO said: “Just before 9:10 pm last night, Sunday September 7, security staff at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton reported that several females were asked to leave because of drunken and disruptive behavior.”

The statement continued: “The females reportedly refused to leave and became verbally abusive towards staff. Investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Merseyside Police via their social media on X @MerPolCC or Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’.”

New Brighton Floral Pavilion added: “Unfortunately, the second part of last night’s show was briefly delayed due to disruptive behavior from a small number of audience members. We thank the police officers who helped theatre staff quickly remove them from the venue.”

Katie Price and Kerry Katona’s tour will continue tonight at the Ellesmere Port Civic Hall.
