Possible Wedding Venue for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Revealed

A source has revealed to Page Six that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly planning to tie the knot next summer in Rhode Island.

While some outlets have suggested the couple isn’t in a rush to marry, the insider claims, “They are getting married next summer in Rhode Island. She is in a hurry to have children.”

Despite the potential for a high-profile wedding to stir up local opinions — similar to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s Venice nuptials — Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee has shown his support for the couple’s choice of venue.

“Rhode Island has some of the best wedding venues in the world, just saying,” McKee wrote in a repost of the couple’s wedding announcement on social media last week.

Taylor Swift’s mansion in the exclusive Watch Hill area of Westerly, Rhode Island, is currently undergoing a $1.7 million renovation, as reported by the Providence Journal.

The renovation will add a new wing, featuring a 16-by-24-foot bedroom, additional bathrooms, and an updated kitchen. Swift originally purchased the property in 2013 for $17.5 million. The sprawling estate already includes 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and sits on 5.23 acres, complete with gardens and a swimming pool.

Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island mansion became famous for hosting her star-studded Fourth of July parties. Last August, Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes were even spotted enjoying one of her legendary pool bashes.

The estate was also immortalized in Swift’s song “The Last Great American Dynasty,” from her 2020 album Folklore. The lyrics recount the story of the mansion’s former owner, Rebekah Harkness, a scandalous socialite who married Standard Oil heir William Hale Harkness in 1947. Harkness was known for extravagant parties, including filling the pool with champagne.

It remains unclear whether Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding will take place at her Rhode Island estate or at another venue in the area.

In June, the state implemented a so-called “Taylor Swift Tax,” which charges non-primary residents $2.50 for every $500 of assessed property value above $1 million.

Page Six previously reported that the couple plans to have a “private” ceremony with only family and close friends in attendance. A source added, “It will be more casual than people think.”

The Grammy-winning singer and Super Bowl champion announced their engagement on August 26, sharing a series of photos taken in Kelce’s garden with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

On the September 3 episode of Kelce’s podcast, his brother and cohost, Jason, teased him about the upcoming wedding planning. “I cannot wait to hear more of the planning and everything that will take place. Travis, you’re about to embark on the wedding planning phase of a relationship,” Jason joked.

Travis Kelce shared that he originally planned to propose on the water but decided to scrap that idea in favor of something more tailored to Taylor. He added, “I would just say know your partner, know who you’re doing it for, and do it for the right reasons, and everything else will be beautiful.”
