Kim Kardashian Ignites Discussion with Controversial Parenting Views

The Kardashian family has once again ignited a parenting debate, this time centered on Kim Kardashian’s controversial stance on homework.

During a recent appearance on Kai Cenat’s “Mafiathon 3” livestream, the 44-year-old reality star stated, “I don’t believe in homework.”

She explained her reasoning, saying, “Kids are in school for eight hours a day,” highlighting the demanding nature of a typical school day.

Kardashian shares four children — North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 — with her ex-husband Kanye West.

Kim Kardashian, co-founder of Skims, elaborated on her view, saying, “When they come home, they need to also — they do sports, have a life, spend time with their family. I think that homework should be left for in school.”

Her comments sparked mixed reactions on social media. One user responded critically, writing, “Of course someone who paid to get their homework done would say that.”

Some social media users pushed back against Kim Kardashian’s views. One commented, “Well, homework doesn’t stop kids from doing all that she mentioned. I sometimes did my homework before leaving school back in the day.”

Another criticized Kardashian’s perspective, saying, “Yeah, when you don’t have to compete in life and already have millions for life at birth, it’s pointless.”

However, several fans came to Kardashian’s defense, with one netizen tweeting that the Hulu star “has a valid point.”

Supporters of Kim Kardashian’s viewpoint also voiced their opinions on social media. One user commented, “I think a little educational exercise outside of school to keep you on your toes and be ready for work out of work environments in life is good, but when we were at school, the load was ridiculous.”

Another added, “Low key valid, to be honest. Why not do the eight hours of learning while at school and allow time to relax at home with family?”

A third supporter agreed, saying, “That’s actually a fair point. School already takes up most of the day, so letting kids breathe, be active, and have a social life outside academics makes sense. Balance matters more than overloading them with homework.”

In May, Kim Kardashian’s older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, sparked discussion with her unconventional views on education, calling traditional schooling “so dated.”

During an episode of her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, the 46-year-old Poosh founder shared, “There’s ways we function as a family that … it’s like if someone does the same thing every day. Like I do it with everything, it’s not about our family.”

She continued, “Like, let’s say the school system. I’ll think, ‘Why do kids f–king go to school?’ Truly. It’s so dated.”
