Jim Edmonds’ Wife Called Police After Meghan King Allegedly Entered Couple’s Home Uninvited

Jim Edmonds’ wife, Kortnie O’Connor, reportedly called the police and filed a restraining order after his ex-wife, Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King, allegedly entered their Missouri home without permission earlier this year.

According to documents obtained by Us Weekly, the incident occurred on May 1, when King, 40, had reportedly visited the residence multiple times and was “causing a disturbance.”

A police report from the Frontenac Police Department stated that officers saw King leaving the property in a Jeep and pulled her over shortly afterward. She told authorities she had contacted her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, earlier that day to arrange a clothing drop-off for their daughter.

King and Edmonds share three children: daughter Aspen, 8, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 7.

According to a source speaking to Us Weekly, Meghan King contacted Jim Edmonds’ current wife, Kortnie Edmonds, to arrange the drop-off of a dress — reportedly a communion dress — while she was en route to St. Louis for an art event.

Kortnie told police that King arrived at their home around 5 p.m. and repeatedly rang the doorbell, despite being instructed to leave the dress on the doorstep.

The police report noted that Meghan allegedly refused to hand the dress over directly and instead “pulled away and asked to speak to” her daughter.

Kortnie informed Meghan that she wasn’t home at the time and was at a baseball game with Jim. According to Kortnie, Meghan became upset following the exchange, prompting her to shut the front door and again request that Meghan leave the dress.

In the police documents, Kortnie Edmonds claimed that after returning inside the home, she heard Meghan King yelling for her daughter from within the house.

Kortnie said she went back to the front door and saw Meghan standing about five feet inside the home. She allegedly told Meghan to “get out of [her] house.”

According to the report, Meghan then exited the home “slowly” but briefly wedged her foot in the door, preventing Kortnie from closing it completely. Once Meghan moved her foot, Kortnie was able to shut the door.

Kortnie later contacted police again, stating she wanted to press charges for harassment. Jim Edmonds, who arrived shortly after the incident, told officers he had video footage of what had occurred.

According to the officer’s report, the Frontenac Municipal Prosecutor declined to press charges against Meghan King, labeling the situation a domestic dispute. As a result, the case is now considered “inactive.”

However, documents show that Kortnie Edmonds filed a restraining order against King. In June, a consent order was reached, requiring both women to stay at least 150 feet apart during events or activities involving the children.

Additionally, King agreed not to mention Kortnie on social media.

A source told Us Weekly that Meghan agreed to the terms in order to avoid a drawn-out legal process related to the incident.

A representative for Meghan King told Us Weekly that the incident involving the reality star has been “mischaracterized.” They stated that Meghan was simply trying to drop off her daughter’s dress at Jim Edmonds’ request, in coordination with their child’s needs.

The rep claimed Meghan never entered the home, but briefly called to her daughter from the doorway. According to the statement, the door was slammed in her face, after which she calmly left the dress on the porch. As she was leaving, she was reportedly met by multiple police vehicles and felt she was treated in an unnecessarily hostile manner.

The rep also pointed out that there is a “long public record” of police reports and restraining orders in the matter, which they say demonstrate that Meghan has been the one seeking protection — not the other way around. They added that Meghan has had primary responsibility for the children, while the other party’s involvement has been limited to select occasions.

The statement concluded by acknowledging the broader challenges women often face after the end of a relationship — especially in situations where financial power imbalances exist — and noted that video footage of the incident exists. Meghan reportedly hopes the footage will be made public to clarify what actually happened.

Meghan King’s representative added that she finds the situation “profoundly sad” and has chosen not to comment further.

“Out of respect and protection for her children — who are old enough to read and understand what is said publicly — she chooses silence beyond this statement,” the rep said, emphasizing that Meghan’s sole focus remains on the well-being and stability of her kids.

In response, a spokesperson for Jim and Kortnie Edmonds told Us Weekly that the couple intends to “let the facts speak for themselves.”

Jim and Meghan were married from 2014 until 2019, when Jim filed for divorce. Their split was finalized in 2021. He later married Kortnie in 2022.
