Charlie Sheen from Two and a Half Men expressed his desire to reach out to his former co-star Jon Cryer to personally thank him for taking part in his new Netflix documentary.

More than ten years after being fired from Two and a Half Men amid his very public struggles with addiction, Charlie Sheen wants to personally thank his former co-star Jon Cryer for taking part in his new Netflix documentary, Charlie Sheen.
In an interview with People published on September 3, Charlie explained that he hadn’t contacted Jon himself because he didn’t have his current number, so the director reached out instead. After seeing Jon’s honest and compassionate contributions, Charlie wrote him a message to express his gratitude and apologize for not connecting personally.
However, Charlie hasn’t heard back from Jon, which is unusual, so he made a public request for Jon to get in touch with him.

Charlie Sheen joked, “I’m thinking I wrote to the wrong number,” adding that it’s unlike Jon Cryer not to respond because he’s very responsible. He even called on Jon publicly, saying, “If you’re reading this, Jon, DM me your new number!”
The 60-year-old actor—son of Martin Sheen and Janet Sheen—also shared why Jon’s honest and heartfelt words in the documentary, which covers Charlie’s addiction and the attention it brought, meant so much to him.

Charlie Sheen said it was meaningful to hear Jon Cryer’s perspective, especially since Jon was caught in the middle of all the drama affecting his family, career, and life. Charlie admitted he couldn’t argue with anything Jon said.
Reflecting on his time with Two and a Half Men, Charlie expressed regret over how things ended, believing that if he hadn’t made certain choices, his life might be very different now.
He also addressed Jon’s concerns from the documentary about risking his eight years of sobriety. Charlie acknowledged Jon’s feelings were understandable given past patterns but assured him that things are different now. He promised to do everything he can to prove Jon wrong and maintain his sobriety every day.
The article also mentions Charlie’s children from previous relationships and hints at more stories about other shows impacted by their stars’ controversies.
