Salma Hayek Stuns in Fiery Red Bikini to Celebrate 59th Birthday

Salma Hayek celebrated her 59th birthday on September 2 by sharing a stunning photo of herself in a vibrant red bikini.

In the picture, she’s seen holding a matching red drink while enjoying time on a yacht. Wearing sunglasses and posing against a beautiful ocean sunset, the actress marked the final year of her 50s in style.

Salma Hayek marked her 59th birthday with a joyful message on Instagram, writing, “59 trips around the sun and still dancing ☀️💃🏻. Cheers to all of you & thank you for the love 🎂🎉♥️.”

She received warm birthday wishes from celebrity friends, including Anthony Hopkins, who commented, “Happy birthday ♥️ We love you,” and Linda Evangelista, who left a string of heart and balloon emojis. Evangelista shares a son with Hayek’s husband, François-Henri Pinault.

Known for her stunning bikini moments, Hayek also turned heads earlier this year as a cover star for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2025.

Reflecting on her recent Sports Illustrated cover at age 58, Salma Hayek shared how surreal the moment felt. “I remember when I was young, a long, long time ago, I was always excited to see the Swimsuit Issue of Sports Illustrated, wondering, ‘Who’s going to be in it?’” she said. “Of course, I didn’t look like a model, so it never crossed my mind that one day I would be in it.”

She admitted that if someone had told her she’d grace the cover at 58, she would have thought they were crazy. “But the world has changed, and that’s exciting,” she added.

Hayek also noted that the magazine was making a powerful statement by featuring her alongside younger stars like LSU gymnast and influencer Livvy Dunne, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, and model Lauren Chan.

Salma Hayek opened up about embracing aging and the freedom that comes with it, especially after appearing on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover. “I could retire, but I don’t want to miss out on this time,” she said. “I fought for it, you know, and I’ve been part of it.

And I think it’s really remarkable that a magazine like Sports Illustrated [Swimsuit] says that it’s OK maybe even cool to be past 50 and still feel not just sexy, but free, and not self-conscious about your body like you have to hide.”

In an earlier interview with People in April, Hayek emphasized that her goal isn’t to look younger, but to feel good at her current age. “I just want my husband to still go, ‘Wow’ when he looks at me,” she said.

“I still want to feel good about the way I look, but not necessarily because I want to look 20. I’m okay. I’m more excited about being 50 and 60 and looking good at 50 and 60. It’s a different kind of beauty.”
