Charlotte Dawson reveals wedding plans with fiancé Matt Sarsfield after reconciliation post-cheating scandal

Charlotte Dawson has opened up about her wedding plans with fiancé Matt Sarsfield after forgiving him for a cheating scandal.

The 32-year-old star has been engaged to Matt since 2020, and the couple share two sons and a baby daughter together.

After a sexting scandal surfaced last year, Charlotte Dawson forgave fiancé Matt Sarsfield despite feeling “devastated” by the situation.

Now, putting the past behind them, the couple is looking forward to their wedding, which Charlotte says they’ll start planning next year.

Speaking on behalf of CBeebies Parenting, Charlotte shared, “I can’t even think about a wedding right now, but Matthew’s dream is to take me to Vegas and get married just the two of us, with no one else there. Obviously, I have different plans.”

She added, “I cannot have a small wedding. If I’m getting married, I want the full celebration — going on for days and days. I don’t like saying goodbye.”

Charlotte shared that she wants the wedding to be a long celebration because she has FOMO and loves spending time with people. She said, “I like saying ‘I’ll see you in the morning.’ I don’t like leaving people, so I want the party to go on for days. I don’t want anyone to go home.”

She joked that the guests might beg to leave, but she’ll keep saying, “Just one more.”

Charlotte also revealed some plans she’s already thought of, like having her daughter Gigi as the flower girl.

Charlotte revealed that they’ll likely start planning the wedding next year and aim to get married the year after, as she already has several friends’ weddings to attend next year.

She shared her hopes for her daughter Gigi to walk down the aisle with her as a flower girl, calling it “cute.”

Charlotte also expressed that she really wants her mum to walk her down the aisle, saying that would be lovely.

Charlotte Dawson, mum of three, shared how she manages the busy morning routine with her kids—Noah, Jude, and baby Gigi. While she handles breakfast, her fiancé Matt takes over the timekeeping since he’s better at keeping the kids on schedule.

Breastfeeding Gigi adds to the chaos, but Charlotte tries to keep mornings fun, saying she wants her kids to enjoy the start of their day. She reflected on how she used to dread school but now sees those days as some of the best memories.

As she gets eldest Noah ready to start school this month, Charlotte spoke about the challenges parents face with school readiness. A recent study by CBeebies found that many parents feel stressed and uncertain about preparing their children for school.

To help, the CBeebies website offers tips, games, puzzles, and even a “Sing with Dodge” song—one that Charlotte highly recommends.

Charlotte Dawson opened up about how the CBeebies parenting resources, especially the “Sing with Dodge” song, have been a big help during hectic mornings. She said the expert advice on the website eases her stress and pressure, making the start of the day feel more manageable.

She also shared how establishing a routine has been a journey for her family, especially with her eldest son Noah, who was born during the COVID lockdown and has always been close to her, even sleeping in her room.

While it was comforting at first, as he grew older, the lack of routine became challenging—especially once baby Jude arrived. Creating a routine for Jude made a noticeable difference, and Charlotte credits CBeebies with supporting that transition.

Despite her upbeat presence on social media, Charlotte admitted she still has tough days, especially after becoming a mum of three. She shared that she recently had a day where she was “crying all the time,” emphasizing the importance of accepting that it’s okay not to be okay.

She highlighted the pressure many mums put on themselves to always be happy and positive, which isn’t always realistic given the challenges and responsibilities of motherhood.

Charlotte Dawson opened up about the challenges of motherhood, saying, “It is really, really tough. Really tough.” She urged parents not to put too much pressure on themselves and encouraged taking time to recharge when feeling overwhelmed.

Her advice? “If you do feel like s***, just have a day for yourself, just eat chocolate, you know. Get a bloody hot water bottle, watch chick flicks and just kind of reset yourself.”
